We made offers on 2 separate resorts at different brokerages. They were sent to ROFR at about the same time. If they both pass ROFR, will the one that closes last automatically be added to the 1st membership? If not, who do we contact to do this?

If under 1 membership, can I split the points allocation (e.g. 50/50 from both contracts) for one reservation?

Per my understanding, I can get one-time use points for each contract, but is this still true if the contracts are under 1 membership?

What are the pros and cons of having the 2 contracts under one membership?

I don't think you can get 1 time use points for each contract you get them for each membership.

The way it works it if they are the same UY they should automatically be the same membership if they are not they will not it isn't something you get to pick and choose.

You might have an issue as they may both hit disney at the same time and get processed by different people. You should probably speak to the brokers about how this will work.

Also, points at two resorts can never be combined at 11 months, only for a 7 month booking. You can't reassign points at 7 months to a home resort booking unless the room type and stay duration are otherwise still available for a new 7 month booking.

If the contracts are for different use years, they cannot be combined into one membership. However, my understanding is that they can be set up under the same log-in for online booking. If so, you will see a drop down box to select the contract from which you wish to use points for the reservation. As _auroraborealis_ says, booking during the home resort priority period requires points associated with the specific resort you are reserving.

If you have two memberships (which you would for different use years), you will be allowed to buy up to 24 OTUP for each membership. OTUP may not be used to book something during the home resort priority period.

Resale contracts are not generally combined unless they are titled EXACTLY the same, are for the same use year AND the buyer must request this - contact your broker / closing agent for specifics.

The contracts are for the same UY but at different resorts. Does that make a difference?

I did not know that!

If the 2 contracts are combined into one membership, can I book a reservation using points from both contracts (e.g. 40 points from one contract and 50 points from the other)? If so, can I specify how many points from each contract?

We purchased our first 2 contracts at the same time, had them titled the exact same way, and Disney originally put them under separate memberships. Luckily, I called DVC and caught the error and it was early enough in the process that DVC could put them under one membership number.

If you book online, you can't specify the number of points that you want to use from each contract - the computer system uses all the available points from one contract before moving to a different contract.

You can have member services reallocate points to be used like you want. It does take some doing though - most CM's that I have gotten tell me this can't be done. If you get a good CM or a supervisor, they can use points the way you want, but it seems they have to override the system to accomplish this.

We have 4 contracts at different resorts with the same use year, under the same membership number. It has been a challenge to use points like I would like to. It's like DVC never anticipated that owners would have multiple home resorts and want to pick how their points are used :)

Only at 7 months.

So we have 2 contracts under 1 member #. When you use the dvcmember website you cannot combine which contract to pull from. It defaults to one and then you have to choose one contract or the other.

I think if you call you can get the points to possibly be pulled from both contracts. But only if it's at 7 mos and now trying to use non home resort points to book at 11 mos.

It's a pain Sometimes but for most part I don't mind having 2 contracts since it's one single login
