Oh...I am only getting ideas and suggestions from the DIS...this will be his ultimate decision as well as planning. He just happened to mention to his dad and I the possibility of Boston or NYC as the setting for his proposal. But I will say this has been so much fun. He is on !!!!!!!!!!!

Is this the son that went to Providence College? If so, did his fiancee as well? If the answer is yes to both, maybe they could go back to campus and he could pick a special spot that was memorable to them. He could just tell her he needs to get something, like a tee shirt, at the bookstore to throw her off. Then he could make dinner reservations in Providence. He could try to plan it around a Waterfire too which would be super romantic.

Yes it is, wow, you have a great memory. DS grad 2004 and will grad 2008 from PC w/Master's. His DGF is a 2006 grad. His younger bro is a 2008 grad. DGF's parents both are PC grads as well as most of her Aunts and Uncles. Her dad actually was a good buddy of the now President Fr. Shanley when they attended PC together.

It looks as though they will get married at St. Domenic's on the campus of Providence College in Spring, early Summer 2009. Both DS and DGF are very friendly with two Friars who will officiate the ceremony. All of DS' roomies from PC will be Ushers as well as his bro Best Man. DGF will have all PC roomies as Bridesmaids except her DSis Maid of Honor, who is graduating Seina College in Albany.

Can you just see the Alumni picture for the Providence College Digest at DS' wedding, there will be so many, they will need a really wide lens camera!!!

They are looking in Newport for a reception.

As far as PC and the proposal, funny quite a few friends have mentioned that but he really has his heart set on Boston or NYC...with more leaning towards the BIG APPLE!!

I have not seen you around much, kpm, but I wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on the babe!!!!

Here is a couple of new ideas. my friend who's boyfriend is a pilot wrote will you marry me in christmas lights and then took her up and rode over it. Another suggestion that I heard about on the Dis boards is that restaurant in Epcot that you get to see the tank ( I cant think of it now and I'm not sure if it is still open but, the guy got a table by the window and some scuba guy came by with the sign)

Oh, HEDY...they have done the Fenway Park Tour!! They did that Summer 2006!! Loved every minute of it!!

BTW: Anyone who has never done it...it is a MUST!!!

HaHaHa..I will say those commericals around us tend to be a little annoying...way to often!!!

But he did shop around and loved what Jared had to offer him.

I am wondering about those "jumbotron's" as well...cost, and contacting the Team or the Park to set it up...can you just imagine how wicked cool to see that on a jumbotron and DGF having no idea......!!!!

To everyone who has had the wonderful opportunity in seeing your son plan out the proposal and ultimately the engagement...well all I can say is DH & I are thrilled beyond words. DS is on 100 's!!!!!!!!

And those of you that have this in your future...enjoy every single pending moment of it all!!

So much excitement ahead and I am going to make sure I enjoy every single minute of all that goes into this wedding!!!

I would LOVE to be proposed to like that, but then again i'm a HUGE baseball fan! I know on the astros website you can get a message on the jumbotron for like $35 dollars, but I don't know how they get on the kiss cam. They (or he) already have that much of the wedding planned & they aren't even engaged yet? I'm surprised then that he hadn't planned the proposal. Just seems backwards. LOL

I'm sure whatever he comes up with will be fine & special for the 2 of them.
