pronunciation of Walt's middle name

Just thinking of baby names...I really like the name Elias, but there are a few different ways to pronounce it. Does anyone know how Walt Disney pronounced his middle name of Elias? Thanks!

No help on the pronunciation, but it's on our list if something freaky ever happens that gives us a later-in-life surprise! We say "Ell-ee-us," but no idea if that's how Walt's middle name is said as well.

Not sure of the Disney family pronunciation either, but in Europe, it's typically El-ee-ahs (long "a").

Thanks everyone for your input - yes, there are a few different ways of pronouncing it! I think I like ee-lie-us best. And I think I have an idea for how to find out how Walt pronounced it - doesn,t he talk about his father, Elias, in Saving Mr. Banks? I will have to watch it again and listen carefully!

So I watched Saving Mr. Banks, and in the scene where Walt is talking about delivering newspapers in the snow he mentions his father - and Tom Hanks pronounces it "Ee-LIE-us". Yay - that's the way I like to pronounce it!

I've never heard anyone pronounce it the other ways.
