Project Runway - Season 3 Official Thread (SPOILERS!!!)

I don't think that Jeffrey cheated. I think he had more time to do his garments back in LA than in NY. Plus, he would be used to making garments that were well made because of his own line. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that rock stars would buy clothing that was poorly made no matter how "cool" they looked. At least not more than once.

I also think that Jeffrey was quieter because his friends and family probably chewed him out for being a baby and a jerk. He toned himself down.

As for Laura's husband ... all I thought was "This is the stud who is the father of all of beautiful and elegant Laura's kids?!?!" There must be something more than meets the eye. Does anyone know what he does for a living. It must be quite lucrative to be able to afford a huge apartment in NYC and a wife who can follow her dream

Uli must also have some major source of side income. An ocean-side apartment in Miami?!?

Would be happy with Uli, Michael or Laura winning.
Yeah, but like Kycha said, it seems inevitable for Jeff to win now since they're focusing so much on his drama. That's the way they usually edit PR.

Oh, and didn't Uli live on the bay side of Miami? I've only been there once (so far) and it seemed that she was on the other side of the bridge looking at Miami, ableit bayside.

Yes, that's true. What about Laura's apartment in NYC?

On one show, didn't Laura say she is an architect. (Excuse my spelling.) And I don't think Uli is on the ocean. Her view was of the Miami skyline, so she is near the ocean. Still pricey though.

If ya'll remember, someone posted links to all 4 designers collections from Olympus Fashion Week, so I tend to think that all 4 designers showed. I do understand Laura's frustration. Rules are rules and they should apply equally to all. The stakes here are very high and if Jeffery had outside help then he should go. Just like the guy earlier in the season. However, since the stakes are so high and they all had more time, I don't think it is unreasonable to think Jeffery kicked it up a notch.

The only thing I know for sure is that I just don't know.

Can't wait to see what happens though.

You could clearly see water and beach when they showed the shot out of her balcony.

Could you? I thought I saw the Skyline and water. I used to live near Miami Beach and remember thinking she had a great view of the Bay and Miami. It could've been another shot though that I mistook for her view. If so, my bad. Sorry.

Yes, Laura is an architect, Uli is an established designer in her area, she said sometime during the show that she has shown two collections in the past and that she travels as a designer for people.

I think Jeffrey could have pulled his whole collection off, look at the space he had to work in! He had an entire shop where he could spread out and leave all of his work things everywhere for the entire time. Whereas, the others are working in a corner of their house or a small space in an aprt. Also, Jeffrey is an establshed designer (as far as I know) and has other people working on his other collections as his employees.

I also think that he probably had his ideas down pat for what he wanted to show. Remember the internation jet setter challenge? He put 3 pieces together, one a very fitted pair of pants in whatever time they were alloted, and the other designers did more basic pieces (IMO). I think he has shown his speed of working on multiple pieces during the show episodes.

He also made the comment, "this is Regent Park" with the attitude that of course I am going to be ready. He also went into the final showing thinking they were going to have a task assigned to them at the 13th hour. He was prepared. I wish the other designers had that same thought.

Just my 3 cents!

That's exactly what I thought. It was the back side of Miami's skyline. Just because she and Tim walked in South Beach didn't mean that she lived there. At first I thought she was in one of the high rises by Joe's Stone Crab. When they showed the view, that's when I thought she was on the other side of the bay looking at Miami.

That's where it looked like it was to me at first, but if it was you would have saw those new beautiful condos on the other side. Looked to me it may have been a bit further north of South Beach, maybe Surfside. I was lol at Tim on teh beach fully clothed, probably in August. :lmao:
Even if it was on the beach, it was a studio. If she's had it a few years, it was less expensive than you woudl think. We own a condo smack on the beach in Sunny Isles (North Miami Beach) We only paid $66,000 7 years ago. You would die if you knew what it's worth now and it's only 425 SF. Should have bought 10!
In nay case, they all our pretty successful in their own right to begin with. None of them seem to be struggling. Even Jeffery's work space in LA must cost a fortune to rent.

I doubt that they can prove anything against Jeffrey. The thing about his receipts was a little damning. We also know that all four collections were shown at fashion week.

I still like Laura's and Uli's final collections the best. I would be happy if either won.

I can't stand Jeffery.

That being said, I felt bad for him last night. I don't know if he cheated, but, he had his work all done and they all should have. It's a competition, for $100,000.00! Why, oh why wouldn't you be completely ready?!?!?!?!

I can also see why he would be acting differently than before. He probably got a wake up call watching the show and decided to end on a high note.

How he must feel. He was probably having a good time and then his "friends" turned on him. It was so abrupt. Laura should have asked him about it first. She handled it all wrong. He was probably very lonely.

Changed my image of her a little. She always seemed above the drama before. Maybe it's the hormones.

Did you notice how Tim Gunn greeted Laura's husband by name, like they knew each other?

Michael, I liked him all season, but since they showed so much personal stuff, I feel he has a lot of maturing to do.

I think Laura or Jeffery would be the best winner, to at least take advantage of the money to actually start a line. Uli and Michael just seem too green. (Or maybe "nice" is the word I am looking for.)

I thought the wig was to show the hair style he wanted, not to use the wig itself.

If that were the case he would only need one wig. He had several lined up on his work table :)

I remember him saying that he wanted all the girls to be wearing the same wig and even talking to the hair stylist guy about it. Hmmm...I wonder if that means he is no longer in the running????

Or....maybe he didn't like how the wigs ended up looking and decided on letting the models own hair be shown. Did you notice his Project Runway model when she was sitting in the chair with the wig on and they were discussing the cut? She did not look pleased to be wearing that rug. I think rather than downplay all the models and showcase only the clothes, I think wearing those wigs would have made us all look at their heads.

To me, Jeffrey's reaction to the accusations was more like "the jig is up". :teeth: :teeth: That's the impression I got. I doubt that it can be proven that he didn't do all of his sewing, but think about it... His work "room" is huge. There is no way that he is the only guy working in there. A little help here, a little help there... I think that what Laura was questioning was the quality of the sewing.

Again, I doubt that it will be proven, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did it. It's a huge opportunity and I can see some people doing all within their power to increase their chances of winning. Anyway, I don't care at all for his style.

I said it once and I'll say it again:

Jefferey is a hiney-hole.

They may not be able to prove anything, but I'm with Laura on this one (and I don't much care for her. She's so cold and distant.)

I really think that Jeffrey would have to be pretty talented if he is making stuff and selling it. In his own space with his own equpment that he is used to and has worked with a lot, I really believe that he could do some fairly "perfect" work. I am sure that the stuff he sells has to look good. It looked like to me that they just had only the very basic equipment in the workroom.

Dont discount Reality TV and "red herrings" over and over again (Survivor I think does this a lot!!)

They tempt us, they make us think we are going to see one thing, then - its either nothing, or sometimes "produced" Didnt someone note the Jeffrey "crying" sequence didnt match up - meaning it was taken out of context to make us believe one thing, then a totally different thing was going to happen!!

I read a spoiler (always do that, esp with Survivor - so I've learned to read them for what they are - more speculation, or 'temptation' sometimes they're true - ie Survivor spoilers... and sometimes they are way off base!!)

so I did read a spoiler on the outcome of Project Runway, that supports most message boards speculation about Jeffrey.... (not sure how much I should say so as not to upset people - but again, its just message board spoiling, so I really dont know if its even true - but since its already been filmed... :rolleyes1 )
