Project Runway - Season 3 Official Thread (SPOILERS!!!)

Did anybody else love the way Kayne clapped when he knew that they were going to show Vincent's clip of the laundry freak out. That was my favorite moment of the whole show.

Tonight it begins! Part one of the final episode. Who are YOU rooting for?

I say go Michael! :thumbsup2 I also like Laura! :thumbsup2 Anyone but Jeffery! :)

Equally Michael or Laura, their designs are sooo different. Jeffrey will be "out there" and Uli will probably make 12 of the same thing, so I say no to Uli, althought I like her a lot.

Anyone but Jeffery. I just can't stand his attitude. I have been watching re-runs and he's just such an A$$!

I pretty much loved Kayne. Period. :rotfl:

My favorite was the montage of Tim Gunnisms and the designers looking at him like "What did you just say?!" Words/terms like:
faux bois, omniscient, sturm and drang, malfeasance, etc. I was laughing so hard b/c the designers would look at him like "what the %*&$^?????"!

From the pictures of the final collections, I think that it will be between Uli and Laura. I did not like Michael's final collection and do not like Jeffrey. Michael has been my favorite until I saw the pictures of his final collection.

I do not blame Laura at all for bringing that up. I would have done the same, without a doubt. It may look bad, but she is looking out for her and the others. It looks like Jeffery may be removed from the competition; however, we all saw the previews to his collection - so I am confused as to what that whole issue is all about.

I am really impressed with Laura. After watching the clip about her home life, I really feel for her. All those kids - you would think she would have learned her lesson after having TWO boys! :lmao:

I thought that was so funny, Laura's son offering "Turtle Poop" to Tim. That is a boy for ya! :rotfl:

I still like Michael, he just seems to be having some issues going on. No matter what happens, I think he will be successful. I would defintely buy his clothing if he made for sports wear. Now, Ula (Is that how it is spelled?) has always been boring to me. She had no personality, but tonight I saw a new side of Ula that I wish I seen throughout the season. Ula really opened up and I really liked it.

Well, what a cliff hanger. I guess we have to wait until next well. Now I will spend all week watching the million marations that Bravo will play over and over and over and over again. :happytv:

interestting. I'm sure editing made it look completely different than it actually played out.

I don't blame Laura either, but I'm not sure I would have went about it that way. I'm glad the others chimed in to say they felt the same way.

I think Laura came off petty and catty tonight, I think she felt threatened by Jeffrey's collection. It's ironic because earlier in the episode Laura said Jeffrey liked to cause drama but yet she was the one who caused the drama.

I think Tim is going to say, "Unfortunately.....there isn't enough evidence to prove anything" and Jeffrey is going to get away with it. The whole show after they were back in New York, I thought something was wrong, he just looked like the cat that ate the mouse the whole time, watching people carefully, watching Tim, being waaaayyy too quiet. I think he's so emotional in the preview b/c he KNOWS he was busted and got away with it. His reaction to Laura was SO out of character for him...if he really had done the work, he would have called her every name in the book. (and has anyone ever seen Laura's DH before? I didn't know she was married to Albert Einstein! :happytv: )

I vote for Uli. Michael is still too young and doesn't quite have it together yet, Laura is too "glamorous", Jeffrey, well, HE needs to be handed the turtle poop.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: But, nice apartment, can't imagine what that costs in NYC???

:lmao: Originally I missed the first part and just re-watched the whole thing. Now, I'm hoping for ULI to win, but will she ever do her hair? :confused3

I actually don't agree with what Laura did. I can't imagine how, as Tim said, something like that accusation could be proved. I don't think Jeffrey will get kicked off. What would stop anyone who felt threatened by someone else's designs to step up then and say "hey, I think someone helped him/her with their collection" and get them aufed.

I personally think Jeffrey does some mean, nasty things but I can't say that I think he had outside help. Even Uli looked at those clothes and said some of it was not perfect. And don't forget, they had 2 months and thousands of dollars to work on these 12 outfits. They usually get one - two days to work on an outfit. If they had been on the show doing these 12 they would be done in 12 to 24 days. They all had over twice that amount of time at home to design them. So it is probable that Jeffrey just got started right away, knew what he wanted to make, and made good use of his time.

I have really dlsliked Jeffrey for most of this season, but last night, hearing him talk about his sobriety and his son, I got a clearer picture (or at least got the picture the editors wanted me to get). Anyway, I think he appeared hurt by the accusation, and I felt his behavior showed it really bothered him, when he didn't respond with his usual foul mouth, arrogant attitude. I believe that he will be told their wasn't enough (or any) evidence to back up Laura's accusation, and that when he breaks down and cries, it is tears of relief. I just hope he doesn't win! I guess we'll see next week!

I'm in the camp of I think Laura instigated the accusation because she was upset that Tim raved over Jeffery's stuff and called her dress a chartruese popsicle. :rotfl2: Laura can't handle criticism well and didn't receive much of it (at least that we saw) from the judges during the length of the show. When she did, she seemed to pout.

Now, I'm not a Jeffery fan, but I don't see WHY he couldn't have done those pieces himself! :confused3 Granted, I've never threaded a needle in my life, no less designed clothing, but you have to remember 2 things - first, Jeffery didn't have the strict time constraint on him as in the challenges. They ended up with maybe 12 hours of work time on challenges if they were lucky when you deducted time for shopping for fabric, going to the hair and makeup place and dealing with the models. Here he has 2 months where if he wanted to he could work 20 hours a day on these pieces. Second, he wasn't working under their rules of the challenge. He didn't have to adapt his style to fit within the challenge specifics. For all we know, he could have been working on the actual design concepts of these pieces well before he hit the final 4 and was able to go right to construction.

I just think that if he was being kicked off the show for cheating, the reaction from Uli when Tim said "Jeffery, we know you cheated" would not be to hug Jeffery but would be one of shock and disgust. I think Jeffery's reaction of crying probably stemmed from 24 hours of worrying about the accusations after working your butt off for 2 months and the possibility that maybe the producers would side with Laura over him even though there was no evidence. We know the producers would need hard evidence, but when you are in that situation, with very little sleep and tons of stress, your mind always thinks about the worst case scenario.

Anyway, that's my take on the whole thing :teeth: Technically, I like Michael the most out of the remaining designers, but after seeing his stuff, I don't think he's going to win. My money is on Jeffery if he doesn't get kicked out. Not happy about it, but just have a feeling.

Oh, and another thing about Laura. On the show she acted like she was disgusted to pick up a dog.. a cute fuzzy Pomeranian, yet she has a big old turtle roaming freely in her apartment pooping all over the floor with a baby on the way. Umm, turtles and reptiles can carry salmonella.

Can you tell she irks me? :rotfl:

And to the poster above that made the Einstein reference.. I said the same thing when I saw him! :happytv:

I really don't know how I feel about Laura's accusations against Jeffrey. But, did anyone notice the way Jeffrey acted when he was asked to turn in his receipts. All the other designers seemed to produce their documents right away while Jeffrey appeared to rummage around a bit. Of course, that could all be creative editing courtesy of Bravo. But, Jeffrey just had an odd look on his face.

And as much as I dislike Jeffrey and the way he acted on the show, I really like most of his collection. I don't want to see him win, but unless something drastic happens next week, it looks inevitable.

Per Jeffery's own words....He was working on the Project Runway line, his own line, plus another obligation (don't remember exactly what it was), and spending time with his family. His work space was downtown LA. Not sure how far away his house was from his home, but it would still be a commute. That is a lot of obligations to spread yourself on, even with 2 months to work on your line.

He also acted very sneaky when they had to hand over their receipts. Uli, Michael, and Laura, all had theirs together and handed them right over. Jeffery had to pull his together....Dude, you should have had ALL your receipts together, in an envelope, ready to turn in BEFORE you left LA.

And like all three of them said, he has NOTHING to touch up, move, add detailing....Something stinks in Denmark. And the dress he loved, the first one he showed Tim, with the zippers. All I can say is, that is one butt ugly dress. Or as Laura would say, there is some serious ugly going on. And the purse he made to go with it. :confused3

Would be happy with Uli, Michael or Laura winning.
