Project 365 - Friday, January 16th

I miss driving a volvo! :( When we only had one (small) kid I had a sedan - then when #2 came along and I also needed to get my parents around I went to a mini van. I now drive a Toyota Sienna which I really like, but some day it's back to the volvo for me! We have a local service guy who we really like and dh has bought all his volvos from him and they have become friends. (We've known him for over 14 years) Dh drives an s80 and loves that little car!

Actually, one of my pictures will have to be of dh & his car...

Jill

Can't drive a Volvo, my legs are to short. I drove a Sienna as a rental when we went to Jersey, loved it! We will probably get that when my Montero peters out although the kids want the Dodge caravan because of the rotating seats and the table.

ARGH!!! I'm gonna be a minivan mama!!!!!!! :crazy2:

ok have it on standby will ya?!:rotfl2:

because this is how i will look after when i leave there.....:crazy2: or
maybe like this :rolleyes2 or maybe like this :scared:

and even though i don't i might have to :smokin:

or you could do this :drinking1 then you will need the special bucket and can go home.
Shall I text you too? No I better not we live close enough that I could come play, don't want DH to nix that one.

and did i tell ya that i burnt my forehead with the flat iron???
ooohhhh goodness it's been a week!

:teeth: :ssst: :rotfl2:

My family wants me to change my pic. I made such a nice one of the ingredients for my bread. But then the drama started.

When I woke up yesterday my eye was hurting. It's happened before, so I didn't really think about it, just put in some drops, and went on with my day. As the day went on it got worse and worse, till I had to go to the ER. Fun huh? They don't know what happened, but you know it's bad when the Dr comes in the room and says "OH WOW!" Let me tell you, I was so scared. And my BP was way up...well DUH...I'M SCARED!! :faint: They gave me Pred and drops, and I have to see an eye dr today. :guilty:

So, my whole family, the people who think I'm crazy to take a pic a day, wanted me to take a pic of me for the pic of the day. Ummmm, I want more pics of me, but really, can't I at least look normal :sad2: Oh, and the boys want the journal to say "Gross! Mom's eye is trying to fall out!" :confused3

I did take the pic, but it makes me so sad! I just don't know what to do...maybe just hide it with hidden journaling? Behind my nice ingredients pic?

Remember the point of this is to record your days- not always have a lovely pictures. This is the part of your life that is real, not all the nice pretty pictures. Good luck with the eye doctor. I hope everything will be all right. Please let us know what he says.

You need to keep the icky and nice photos Deb. My lovely DH took one of me not feeling well and I'll use it even though it makes me look awful.

Make sure you tell us what the doctor says.

:grouphug: Ok, it has to be a group hug because I can't find the other hug. (Durn them for moving the smilies!!!) I think hiding the picture under journaling is a good idea or behind the ingredients, that way you don't feel as exposed. Prayers and pixie dust for the eye doctor today!!!

{{{Deb}}} I hope it's better soon!

Why don't you print it wallet size so it will fit on one of the tri-fold journal cards. Then put in on the inside and journal about it on the inside. Then use the outside of the card and the big photo spot for the one you already planned!

And I'm taking yesterday's picture today. Yesterday in the early morning hours I found out that the elementary school I went to closed.
We are going to be near there visiting family today so I will swing by a take a pic.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone! I like the tri-fold idea Marlynn, I think I'll use that one, and keep my other one in the big pocket. Now the kids are calling it "zombie eye"...just great...

Hol- you didn't have to edit anything, the story was cute.

Ok, Dr said what I figured, eye opened when I was sleeping, sheet scratched it, and it made a blister like thing (gross :crazy2: ) just like rubbing from a shoe on a heel...cept eyes are a bit more sensitive, so it makes a big deal about a little scratch. nothing was in there. His brilliant idea, for temporary fix...sleep in raquet ball goggles. I burst out laughing! Poor guy he was trying to be professional and I'm :lmao: in the chair, literally. All I could think of is just give me a snorkle and I'll be ready to go diving...

Bottom line is I have to have the surg I've been putting off for a few years, so calling Monday to schedule. Hey, I get my eyes done, and BCBS will pay...not bad...

Oh, and his final suggestion, I have to lose weight... thanks buddy

As if we don't know when we need to lose weight? :confused3 I would have let him have the bat too.

I want to see a photo of you before you go to bed tonight. :rotfl2: :lmao:

Glad it wasn't anything really bad, but sorry about the surgery. Are they going to smooth any laugh lines?

He mentioned something about tightening things up :rotfl2:

I already had a consult for my left eye, but that doc said I could wait till they both do...this is the right one, so I guess I'm there

DS16 is going to all the local sporting goods places to see if he can find these goggles...but I think I have to order online...sheesh...

Some sleek racing type swimming goggles would work too, I would think.

it has so many good uses. :grouphug: for the surgery!!!

prayers and pixie dust for your surgery Deb.

and i did have to edit out my story. i made it sound like we were making fun of someone and we so were not. i had a VERY old friend at my last job, who would come in every other day. he could see o.k., (but not great) and he liked me to do everything for him. so he used to say that to me all the time. so i would pay all his bills, make phone calls for him. balance his checkbook. then dh came by one day to see me at work and he was there. and i went to introduce him and the 1st words out of his mouth was that. OK dh says.
so then everytime it was bad weather and they would say on the news to check on the elderly, dh would say you need to go check on your friend. but he never knew his name he only knew him by that saying. he has since past on, but every now when they say it on the news about checking on the elderly, dh will say "his saying". just because he knows how much i miss him. he really was a kind man, that just wanted someone to love him.

i wanted to explain because i felt so bad yesterday. i did not want anyone to think dh and i were awful and making fun of someone.
hope this clears it up!
