I will work on loading pics this week!!!!
Saturday morning (around 10:00) my dd and I went out and starting picking up the clumps of grass that I dug up on Friday night (and ran out of yard bags) so that it would be ready when my dad got there around 10:30 so we could "dig" right into it. And did we ever. After looking at a few angles we finally decided what would be right and the second landscaping project began - retaining/garden wall #2. By Thursday I had finally gotten everything planted in #1 that I had to plant and realized I had too many plants. I got all but 1 plant in. So I just put that one plant in #2 along with a lilac bush that will only get 3' tall and 9 miniature rose bushes. By about 2:00 we were pretty much done, dad left and I planted the one plant and decided I needed to go to Lowe's and look for another plant (the area ended up a bit bigger than I first imagined). Came back and got that one planted also. Yesterday morning I worked on redoing some edging I put in last year (needed to raise it up some) and got the area in the front ready for the annuals I had purchased and needed to get in. Today brought getting the mini-roses planted and the annuals in and the mulching started. Ended up deciding I need to do something my mailbox area because what I have there is not doing great - except for my Russian Sage. So- you guessed it - back out to Lowe's (thank goodness it isn't very far from my house). But we also made a stop at Menard's and returned some things I ended up not needing or using and got some more stuff I needed.
I ended the day today with putting caps on the bricks in front of the air conditioning unit and planting my "container" plant - an old watering can I found when cleaning out my mom's garage after she passed - it probably was my grandpa's. Put some beautiful purple petunias in it which I'll have a pic.
So tonight I downloaded the pics and emailed them to my work addy so I can work on them here and there tomorrow. Boss is gone on Wednesday so I hope to have them loaded and posted by Wednesday!!!
