Program wording

Hi everyone. I am going to have the same person who made our invites make our programs... but I was wondering if any of you did anything different or unique... what is usually written in them? We are going to put one of our engagement pics on the front... what else goes into it? :confused3 Thanks for your help. :goodvibes
 
Programs can be as simple or as detailed as you want - my cousin just had the names of the wedding party, the officiant's name & the ceremony music listed on a pretty card.

My sister & sister-in-law both had little booklets naming the bridal party, listing the order of the ceremony, a small note thanking guests for attending, and a special mention of deceased loved ones.

My program is going to include the same info as my sisters', but we are adding an explanation of the various ethnic traditions we are following and explaining certain parts of the ceremony that are not commonly performed or are specific to one particular heritage.

Good luck with yours - post a picture of it when it's done. I'd love to see how it turned out.
 
Ours had the names of the wedding party, an outline of the ceremony (e.g. seating of the mothers, processional, exchange of rings, etc.) with a listing of the music pieces we played, and a thank you to our guests.
