The Vermont Country Store carries a lot of products that are hard to find including candy, clothing and toiletries.![]()
Cornsilk face powder (I can find it now & then on eBay)
Windex Multi Purpose Antibacterial - the yellow one, not the white vinegar one (I can stil find that one!)
I just bought Mrs. Grass's dry soup mix (with the nugget!) in the box last month at Giant grocery store. I'll have to check if it's still on the shelves when I go back next week!
How about Love's Baby Soft, Jean Nate bath splash (was that in a huge yellow bottle?) and Enjoli perfume...."I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan..." how did that go???
Have you tried Amazon? That's the only place that I can find Quisp - the greatest cereal ever invented, BTW!
A few years ago I could buy a spaghetti sauce (Ragu maybe?) that you could pour over uncooked noodles and bake...maybe it was called Pasta No Bake??? I can't find it anymore.
They just had Kung Fu Panda 2 toys in Kellogg's cereal.I think it's sad my kids can't experience the fun of getting a toy in a cereal box! I know it was junk stuff, but the feeling when it dropped into your cereal bowl was the best!
I miss this, too! It was Prego Pasta Bake. One box of uncooked ziti, one jar of Pasta Bake, and one jar of water. Throw it all in a casserole dish and bake. So convenient.

We can still occasionally find this in our grocery stores around Christmas timeSchwepps Raspberry Gingerale
OMG, I used to LOVE Jell-O Pudding Pops ...Jell-O Pudding Pops. I wish I could share one with my kids so that they know how good we had it as far as ice cream treats. I'm craving one now, darnit!![]()
Tahiti Treat, Schwepps Raspberry Gingerale and these ice cream treats from the 80s that tasted like orange creamsicles and had an animal on the stick.![]()
I can't find the Benefit "Kitten Goes to Paris" Body Powder anywhere anymore. It was one of my favorites and my cat knocked it of the sink into some water and ruined it. I have searched high and low for a replacement.
You can bake uncooked pasta with any jarred sauce and water and it will cook in the oven. I make lasagna all the time with plain uncooked lasagna noodles, 2 jars of Ragu and some water (and all the other ingredients...). I just add a little more seasoning to make it spicier.
I used to love the original formula Herbal Essences shampoo (the emerald green one with the drawing of the hippie chick on the label)- Body On Tap shampoo also.
There was a really good candy bar by Nestle, I think- it was caramel and chocolate, and was braided and open-looking? Bad description, I know.
I bought a big container of Jergen's original not too long ago, at WalMart, I believe. Same smell as I remember growing up, too good to pass up.bballmom56 said:Pacquin's Hand cream - It had been around forever. I grew up using it and kept on using it. It worked better for me than any other body cream. Oh well. I did find (after much searching) a product that seems to work almost as well.
Glad to help! Let us know how it is if you get some! I was tempted to get the Lemon Up myself!cglaura said:I was actually going to post how much I miss "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific" shampoo. I used it as a kid/pre-teen. And there it was right on the front page !! You are my new best friend
I think the thing MomofKatie is describing is a CurlyWurly??? We get them in the UK all of the time.
Things I miss are Minute Maid Orange Soda (probably discontinued because of the carcinogenic neon coloured additives) and Loaded Baked Potato Pringles.
Crispy M&Ms
CurlyWurly is the same as a Marathon bar. I was thrilled beyond all reason when a "Dis"er turned me onto CurlyWurlys. Heavenly!!!

Does anyone remember going into an A&P growing up and smelling the freshly ground coffee from the grinders at the end of the cashier's aisle? I think that is one of my earliest memories from grocery shopping with my Dad. I still drink Eight O'Clock to this day. (I wonder when they'll put it in K Cups?)
