I have been spending the past few days trying to finish the scrapbook from our 2007 WDW trip. I did a lot of it when we first got back but then for along time other things took over. I have taken it out over the years and made some progress but I am finding it is much easier now to be more focused in what I am scrapping. Instead of eight pages of characters I now have two. Quality over quantity--I am finding it easier now to say, "I don't need six pictures of Alice; one will do." And combining all of the characters on two pages makes the pages more appealing, I think.

I do worry slightly that I am being too ruthless and I will someday regret not having all of those pictures of Alice . . . But for now, scrapping is progressing much more rapidly, in any case.

No, I agree, you are on to something. We do the 8 pages of the characters because when it is fresh, we are so attached. But 8 is not necessary when we really just want to be done. Baby's first trip? Yeah, do the 8. But 14 trips later, not so much! :thumbsup2

I have found the same is true of my everyday scrapbooking.

Another thing that has helped me move along with the scrapbooking is to also keep a photo album for trips (and everyday life). With all of the photos in the album, it is easier to just put the highlights in the scrapbook.

if you print your own pictures - crop all the same way - then print out wallets - leave as a 8.5x11 that goes on 1 page then to a "big picture" on the other side of the album if you are wanting alot of the pictures

last year I did 2 2page LO for Chef Mickeys & another 2 for Pooh meal - I'm thinking maybe just a 2page Lo for each character meal that we do for this next year (yes, I prescrap my trips - Aug '10 was first trip, Aug'11 is next)

I haven't finished our 2007 trip yet either, but I am slowly working on it (I also have 2009 to do, and I'm partway done with 2010's book), and I think I'm going to try what you're doing. I know I have a slew of pictures from Star Wars weekend alone, and probably 4 2-pg LOs of the parade alone, and I don't NEED all of those--heck, I can't identify all of the characters!
