Problem with photo CD. What about you?

Decided to wait until the morning of departure, along with many others, to buy photo CD at the cost of $250.00. Also, spent over $100.00 for printed photos.

Before I purchased the Photo CD, the Manager of the Photos went through all of the photos with me to make sure all of them were there. All of the photos we took were there. It was well over 100 photos. He said I would receive the CD in 2 weeks.

2 months after the cruise, still waiting on photo CD. Contacted Disney, they claimed they mailed it to us, but we never received. They were supposed to send another one via UPS or Federal Express in order for us to track it. Well, 3 months after our cruise, we received the CD via U.S. Mail.

What I am really upset about is we only had 95 pictures on our CD, which I know we had well over 100 pictures on it. We were missing a lot of photos, which I am upset about because we paid $250.00 for this CD. Of course, the photos I did not print are the ones I was waiting to get the CD to print them.

Wondering if anybody other than me had problems?

Which cruise were you on? I bought my CD well before the end of the 7/24 cruise, but because it was booked under my card (as opposed to my husband's, which was the "lead" card for our multi-stateroom booking) there was all kinds of confusion - and no CD for me to pick up the morning of debark. I've left one message already - I'm calling again tomorrow - and if I don't get a satisfactory answer, a dispute will be getting filed with my Disney Visa ASAP...

Ship - Disney Dream

In fact, we have to check our Disney Visa, because my husband said $250.00 just popped up, so I am not sure if I was charged $250.00 on the ship and again 3 months later.

Our last cruise in Oct, we bought 2 cds. 1 for our wedding and the other the hsip board photos. The shipboard photo cd was missing a picture when we got home. I called Shutters directly and talked to the shoreside manager, and we had an email of our missing pic within 2 or 3 days. All they needed was a similar pic. It may be to late, but I would call Shutters shoreside, which is the contractor for DCL and talk to them directly. And I would double check your Visa to see if you were double charged.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

Your case highlights several reasons I encourage people who know they will buy the CD to do it early in the cruise. I know that's not always an easy choice for many, but if you're a photo bug at all and can afford it I recommend it.

First, you avoid most of the hustle, bustle, and confusion that last morning. In most cases, if bought earlier you walk in, go through a very quick line, and have CD in hand.

Second, on the Dream anyway, you have the opportunity to review photos as late as the last night at the photo kiosks, which should be a great indication of exactly what photos are programmed to burn to your CD.

And third, any prints bought after the CD are 50% off.

Again, sorry your Shutters experience was less than stellar. For the prices we pay, it should be.

I paid for our photo c.d. midway through our Alaska cruise, reviewed photos each evening and picked the c.d. up before leaving the ship the last morning. All was well. I'd be so mad if I was in the original O.P. I hope it gets resolved.
