Ok, I bought an auction from someone last month around the 15th. 1 Day after the auction ended the seller emailed me and said they are going on vacation and that if she didn't receive payment by today then it wouldn't be shipped until she got back which would be April 12th. Well, since the seller only took money orders I had to say ok. I waited. On April 12th, I emailed to see if they had got the money order and when would it be shipped out. No response. For the rest of the week, I emailed 3x waiting for a response. Finally one week later she emailed me to tell me that they were gone a week longer than what they had planned and that I would recieve it soon. So, I waited. By Sat, I emailed again. Then I emailed again on Monday. Well, by yesterday, I hadn't received even an email back from them so I got her info from Ebay and called her! Boy, she didn't expect to hear from me! I explained to her that I hadn't received an email back, I just wanted to know what was going on. Well, she said it had been shipped 3 weeks ago because she shipped 8 other things at the same time. Well, that couldn't be right because she was supposedly on vacation then. Oh, and did I mention that when I went to look up her info that she is not a registered user anymore? There was no bad feedback so I can't tell why she isn't one unless she quit herself, before anyone got smart and left her feedback. I also told her I wanted to get emailed a copy of the receipt. She said she didn't ship with insurance so there was no receipt and I told her, yes, you do get a receipt with the zip code on it when you ship something.
I am only out 22.00, but still it is the point of it. It was an auction for 2 toddler size outfits. It ended at 13.00 and she charged me 9.00 for shipping. I know she had several auctions going at that time and I am wondering if any of the other buyers had problems too. I am wondering if there is a way to find out who the other buyers are and email them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Look up who else won her auctions at the same time & see if they received their items.

I know there is a way to do it.

Go under "Seach" & I would do under Seller "seach" put in her ID name & it should list all her auctions & the winners ID.

Although you can not get the winners email address, you can send them an email through Ebay & I would ask them if they have had trouble with this seller.

Good Luck!

was the seller from another state..??

if so, I think it's considered interstate commerce and is a felony if she cashed the money order without sending merchandise...

was it a postal money order, they can check to see if it was cashed.....

Mickey88 is right, then can tell if she cashed the money order or not. I would find that out first then I would demand a refund or report her.

File a complaint, even if she isn't registered anymore. I can't remember where on the site you can do it, but find out where to file a claim. I filed a claim for an item I didn't get (only $5.00, but it was a videotape for my kids-who rips off kids???) and even though the seller was no longer registered, about 3 weeks later I received an email from ebay stating they were going to refund my money. Give it try, it would be worth it....::yes::

It honestly could have been lost in the mail. I sell things on eBay, and just recently someone claims to never have received an item I shipped to them. Well, I definetly shipped it, and he did not purchase insurance so what am I supposed to do. I do not have a receipt for that transaction, but he hasn't asked to see one either. He is either lying or it was lost in the mail. He's sending me tons of e-mails screaming at me. I don't know what to do in this situation. But bidders should be aware that a decent percentage of mail does get lost.

hmmmm...I paid for a Barbie sweater (all of $3.24!) through PayPal and never received the item. A lot of people were having trouble with this seller. I was in correspondence with the seller and he had me filing an insurance claim through the P.O. - I got suspicious and contacted other buyers - only to find out that he never sent any of the most recent stuff he "sold". He is no longer a registered E-Bayer and it's past the 30 days - I thought I was out the $. Who do I file with? (I mean it's only three bucks, but I hate getting taken.)

Minnie: if you paid w/ paypal you should file with them, as they are very good with situations like that.

mom of 3: like others said, try to findout if the money order was cashed, and when if you can.
Also contact ebay and tell them what you know. Tell them her e-mail address and phone number and any other info you had on her before she cancelled her account, and tell them that also. They may or may not be able to help you, but it's worth a try.

tricia.

I heard enough stories like this on the disboards, that now I only ship w/Delivery Confirmation. It costs an extra $0.50 or so, but it is worth it--since it is proof that a package did (or didn't) arrive at its destination.

You can get the other auction winners email addresses by going under the closed auctions they won. Or you can contact them through ebay. I actually did this when I didn't receive a case of formula I bought. The other auction winner ended up not getting hers either and it was weird because the seller had a 41 feedback with 100%, so you never know. We reported her to ebay, then neg'd her. I got my money back through my cc. I would still file a complaint through ebay and you can report her for fraud if you wanted to go that far. Good Luck!

I would ship w/Delivery Confirmation, and insure the item myself, that way you're covered if the buyer claims they never received the item....you either have proof thet it was received or can file a claim with the post office...either way you avoid negative feedback...

I only ship my items UPS ground with insurance required (not an option). Yes, it costs the buyer more, but I have a shipping calculator in every auction and I've never had a problem with someone saying they didn't receive an item.
