I always liked how they had good guy announcers and heel announcers just like the wrestlers.

You gotta have a guy to talk up the heels. The are two keys to success in wrestling: If the crowd loves you - awesome! If the crowd HATES you - even better! If the crowd doesn't care much either way - time to go finish that mass-comm degree.

Weird that roller derby came up too. I was involved in that around the same time that I did wrestling. Waaay too dangerous though. Trying to teach a bunch of girls the art of "the show" is like hearding cats. Not one single person understood that derby was just as much sports entertainment as wrestling. It went nowhere in our town.
