private affair??

we will be at hh in middle of august. Dw, ds8, dd3, dniece8, dnephew10, and inlaws. would love to surprise the inlaws with private affair. What should we do with the kids?? was thinking about having dinner on kids night out but three year old can't go. Anybody have any ideas??

It's hard to plan A Private Affair in advance because the kids' night out is not always on the same night each week.

I would advise calling the resort and asking their recommendations -- maybe there is a cast member who will babysit "on the side" for you. Or ask Chef Gordon when you email him to see if the date you want is available. I'm sure he has been asked that question before...

You can bring kids to the dinner. Gordon lets the kids "help" with certain tasks if they are interested. The hardest part would be finding an evening free with Chef Gordon. When we were there a few weeks ago, he said he is booked pretty solid through November.

Just looking for a little quiet time for us and the in laws. We might have to bring the 3 yr. old with us and have the 3 others go to kids night out. Maybe it's to late and chef gordon is all booked up. I'm waiting to hear from him today.

We did this last October and took my 3 and almost 2 yr old with us. I brought them something to eat and snacks to keep them busy. I also brought toys for them to play with. Chef was really wonderful about them. Most of the time they hung out and played on the floor with their toys and Chef let them watch while he cooked...It was really great and much better than taking them out to any place as nice....There was no else they could bother
