Priority seating

As a onsite guest staying in one of Universals resorts you should have priority in seating over someone that is not staying at the resort. When you walk up for table. Just let them know you are a resort guest.

You have to show your room key.

Last year on a Friday night the wait for Margaritaville was 50 minutes.......told her we were resort guests and showed our room key and we were seated in just over 10 minutes. Ideal.

If the wait is less than 30 minutes they sometimes don't honour it.

Bubba Gump don't participate in this perk.

Thanks so much. This is great to know as we will be there in Oct. and I am hoping that new chocolate restaurant will be open by then, might come in handy, I imagine it will be pretty crowded being new and all.

Some of the policies are hit or miss so, I wouldn't count on priority seating always working. Last October the wait for Margaritaville was 90 minutes and they would'nt priority seat with onsite stay or AP.

i was with you and yes, that wait list we were put on seemed more like 2 hours instead of 1.5 hours.

Lol yes ma'am! I didn't quite remember how long it was!

Yup..This was our experience as well last Jan

Bubba Gumps is a landry's restaurant. Technically when everything works as it is supposed to those who are staying onsite should just have to show their resort room key card to get priority seating. As noted above it looks like it's not happening all the time.

I was told Landrys select club members get priority seating but not hotel guests just because they're hotel guests.

But, they never have allowed table reservations ahead of time the way other restaurants in Citywalk do.

We have had someone post recently they had a reservation, I've emailed them to confirm if they now take reservations in Citywalk but haven't had a reply back yet.

right

the Landry Select Club Card works a treat.
Lady in front of us at the podium was quoted over an hour wait without ressie, I just flashed my card and was seated within a few minutes.
We even had a manager come check on us and wish me a happy birthday with the $25 birthday reward applied to our meal.

I wouldn't bother making a reservation at any of their properties (Rainforest, T-Rex, Yak&Yeti, Bubba Gump, to name a few in the Orlando area)
just get the card, it's $25 down, which are credited to your rewards account and applied to your next meal, and $25 on your birthday month (well we're all so lucky to go during our birthday month :p :p :p )

yes, lots seem to go on their birthday month.......:D Glad you enjoyed it though and they took care of you, that`s always appreciated.

Not a chain we frequent, but $25 isn't bad off a meal........Looked in T-Rex when it first opened......eh, no......looked like hell on earth to me.........wasn`t aware Trex and such were part of them, but as I said not places we usually eat in.

Just wish they would reply back about my query on reservations......Haven`t heard there`s a change of policy on those........

T-rex and Rainforest are also quite painful, as I'm someone who likes it quiet and easily gets a headache in such places.

but ... you know ... 8 years old who's crazy about dinos .... a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do :p :p :p
