I'm looking for ideas on how you printed and bound your autograph books. Did you print them out at home (on paper/carstock-- what weight?) or did you send them to a copy center? Has anyone tried to order them as 4x6 prints (would they be too slick to write on then?)? And how did you bind them into a book? I saw on one thread where someone used ribbon-- what else have you used to bind them? Pics would be really appreciated, too!!! Also, how do you choose which characters to include in the book? We've never been to WDW before, so I'm totally lost! TIA! --Katie

I printed mine on cardstock from my computer and took them to Office Depot and had mine spiral bound.

Yep, me too! Actually I took mine to Staples. I really liked the spiral binding compared to the comb binding we have a my school. The pages turn smoothly and do not tear the pages.

The lady at the counter offered to pay me to make one for her daughter. I just gave her the web address for DIS. Hoping to make another addict.:thumbsup2

I posted some previous threads that might answer some of your questions. You really are never sure what characters you might run into. I do have a list of characters that I developed last year. It is probably pretty current, but not perfect. If you email me at chaoscent@verizon.net, I will send it to you. :goodvibes With that said, if you go to some of the character meals you are sure to see the characters at that meal. In addition, there are places in each park where the characters "hang out". If you look at the schedule for the day, it will normally tell you where the characters are going to be. I made over 150 character cards, filed them alphabetically by movie in a $1 store photo album book and took them out when I saw the character. Then they could be bound when I got home. Anyway, look at all the different ideas posted in the threads below, and hopefully you will find some to help you.
This one has a picture of how they looked in my photo album book

I started a thread because I thought I might take a stab at doing a step by step, but I got caught up in other things. There are a few pictures in this one

Question, if you send cards to shutterfly, costco, etc. to be printed, are they printed on photo paper or can you specify? If they are on photopaper, do the autograps work okay?
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
TIA

Thanks for the links to all the threads. That spiral binding looks great. has anyone tried printing them off as photos (I'm being lazy here and trying to get out of cutting them out)? If I do that will I have a problem getting them spiral bound b/c there won't be any margin? Thanks for your input, guys! --Katie
