Well after faithful service... well actually the troops battered it to death printing from Disney and Animal Planet our Epson 895 is no more.

Have decided to get the Canon IP5200 from Amazon as it looked a good deal :)

Hi Reid, we replaced our Epsom with a Canon. Good choice as the ink is a fraction of the price. We bought ours from Argos and took out 3 years insurance and had to have it replaced during its first year (we always manage to get the duff one)

I have the Canon iP5200 and am really pleased with it's performance :)

Photo quality is fantastic - especially with edge to edge printing. It also does double sided printing :)

The two paper trays are also useful - you can have plain A4 in the main tray and photopaper in the other tray, so you don't have to keep swapping paper :)

It also prints CDs and DVDs :)

I got mine from Currys for £49.99 - a fantastic price for the amount of features!

Glad to be joining esteemed company. Mighty jealous of your price though ;)

I would recommend Canon too. I have had a Canon i950 for about 3 year's now. It does fantastic photos and has not, touch wood, had any problems. Ink is reasonable, about £7-8 for one cartridge.

I wouldn't touch Epson. I used to have an Epson Photo 870 which did last a couple of years before packing in. My Dad, however, has gone through two Epson's in as many years. He tended not to use it too often so both times ended up with clogged ink heads, which is a typical Epson fault I believe.
