Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

Heeeey :) im joining in..and yes i know im a little late but better late than never huuh :rotfl:
Love your trip report! all you kids are really cute and your neice is like mega pretty! (i love her shorts on the mk day ;))
Im half way through what you've done so far and im loving it! Can't wait to read more! :surfweb:

The playground area freaks me out too...I don't even have children but I can imagine the panic attack trying to keep track of them in there, because it is usually so busy :scared1:

I have seen Fantasmic! before and have no desire to wait in a huge line again for it, I though it was amazing when I did see it, but the lines are crazy!

Totally hear you on the playground thing. Stuff like that makes my anxiety run sky high. My husband and I always do the stake out thing like that too.

Great pics once again. LOVE the Toy Story ones especially! I haven't been there since that has opened and can't wait. Looks super cute!

Can't wait to see the pics from the BBB!

I feel that way about the playgrounds in general too. Would it be so hard to stick a couple of benches in those things and then make all of the slides end where you could see them from the benches? Apparently those Imagineers didn't have small kids. ;)

I am WAY behind commenting on your TR, but there were a couple of things that really caught my attention:

I love your drink at 50s Prime Time. On a summer afternoon, that's the size I usually wish they would bring me.

The DHS parade looks so cute. I had no idea that all of those unusual characters were in it.

Everyone's Woody drawings looked really good!

You got fabulous pictures of Festival of the Lion king!

Great update! I also lovvve the TSM area, I could stay there snapping pictures all day :)

I know, I love that area too, I took a ton more but the family was getting annoyed with me, lol. I would love to take a solo trip one year so I can just take my time getting as many pictures as I want.

Your DHS day sounds like it was a blast! :thumbsup2 I love all of the TSM pictures! It is just SO cute over there!!!

Oh man...BBB is every little girls dream! :cloud9:

We did have a great day there, between the 2 days we spent at DHS we were able to see most of the shows and do everything we wanted. I don't know how some people say DHS is only a half day park. :confused3

I so know what you mean about being crazy busy. My girls started back to school on Monday - so we are just starting to get into a groove again.

I am so with you on that playground. And there is really no where for the adults to sit. My girls have never even seen the Boneyard at AK because I just didn't want to stand around in the heat!

AI was a favorite for the girls this trip. I think if it was up to them, we'd have been to all the shows:eek:

Glad to know I am not the only one who stresses out in those playgrounds! I really liked the AI show, porbably because we were still on the high from the shows finale just being on the night before we left for our trip!

Ha ha I love that picture of Emily with the shackles! You can't really see it's her, but you know it is!
Oh you have me on pins and needles to see what she looks like! I love all of those pictures of TSM! I love that they can do so much with each movie!

The shackles were pretty funny, poor Emily was too short for so many of those photo ops where you put your place in the hole, many times someone would have to be behind her holding her up!

:welcome: So happy to have you on board. Thanks for the compliments on my kids, and I will thank you for my DN as well. She is the most photogenic person I think, it makes me sick :rotfl2:

Just wait until you have little ones and they want to go play in there :rotfl:

I agree about Fantasmic, I love it, we've seen it 3 times so it's not something I feel the need to wait in a line for an hour to see.

I must say that the one great thing they have about the playground is there is only one entrace/exit so if you stake someone there then there is no way you can get out without you knowing!

If your kids are into Toy Story then they'll love that area over there, I hope they do that Monsters Inc ride over there that I've heard rumors about!

I saw the answer in a later post, but I have never heard of Miss Bunny!

Miss Bunny is Thumper's wife. My kids always called her Mrs Thumper but she signed the books as Miss Bunny!

Love the p[icture of Emily in shackles...what a great place to take a picture of her each trip to see how much she grows! I am simply loving all of your pictures!

August is crazy for us too, and I am still holding off on school shopping...even though Ab and Goo start a week from today! Ab is set with clothes (her uniforms still look great from last spring), but poor Goo we have to go get uniforms (it is his first year)...trying to teach him the last couple of weeks how to work a belt without any help! Boo is going to public school this year, I hit old navy last month and picked up a bunch of things for the fall for him. As far as supplies...at Goo's school the supplies are part of tution! :thumbsup2 This is the first year to buy supplies for Boo...he is dying to go school shopping like every other kid finally! Ab tells me that she is set on supplies...still has a lot left from last year!

High school cheerleading starts up today...and I am sure the schedule will be packed from here until Febuary with games to cheer at...so not looking forward to that. Along with Boo's city football league, providing the doctor gives us the all clear on Monday with his arm! Now that Goo is in Kindergarten I am sure we will add a fall sport to his schedule...or should I say mine!

Whew...did not mean to take over with this post!

I so feel with you about this month. I haven't even gotten school clothes yet. I don't really do too much because the first couple of months they are still in shorts and short sleeve shirts, which they all have plenty of. I'll get them a couple of new outfits and of course sneakers but the rest I just buy as they need them.

Having more than 1 kid in sports can be so stressful, Ben is the only one not doing a sport this fall but I am getting him into a kids cooking class. And lets not forget the dog's obdience classes, lol.

Totally agree!

About the drink, with the help of the kids and DH the pitcher was finished off, lol. I did make sure the server knew I didn't do it on my own so I didn't seem like such a gluten!

You should try and see the parade some time, it was really neat!

Well we finally get to the day that Emily and I had been looking forward to all week. It's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique day! We had a 8am appointment and we were all going to get up and go over to the MK but the night before DH and I had decided that him and the boys would sleep in and meet us when the park opened. Em and I were taking the bus over and I didn't know how long it was going to take us to get there so we woke up at like 6 so we could get on the first bus to MK. There was one other family at the busstop when we got there and the bus came after about 5 minutes.

An excited Emily on the bus

We get to the park and guess what? There is no one there! The other family must have had an ADR at Chef Mickeys or something because they took the monorail somewhere so me and Emily were all by ourselves! We took a few pictures and when I saw others arriving I found a CM and asked where we should get in line, she pointed to the turnstile and we formed a line.

At about 7:40 they let us in and we were the first ones in the park:yay: This is what awaited us!

I grabbed a PP person and we took a few pictures of us in front of the castle and then made our way for Em's appointment.

Emily skipping her way up to the castle

I love these mosaics

An empty Fantasyland

Since we stopped for pictures we ended up being the 3rd people in line. They were running a little late so we ended up waiting an extra 10 minutes or so in line. We chatted with the others in line with us, all of the little girls were talking to each other excitedly, telling each other who they were going to dress as, it was adorable! They let us in and we told them what package we were doing. I had bought Emily a new Cinderella dress for the trip so we just got the hair and nails package. Emily was given the brochure of the hairstyles and they had her change in the dressing room and then we sat for a couple of minutes and waited for her turn with her Fairy Godmother in Training!

Princess Emily's name was called and we we ushered over to her FGMIT Laila.

A cliffhanger ending?!!

The pp pic you got of Emily holding Tink is fabulous!

Way back when...we had an early adr for Crystal palace before the park opened - but there were no pp people! I am SOOO glad to see that they are there. I so wanted a family pic in front of the castle without the throngs in my picture, too. I have hope for when we go in a few weeks - and I might need to add an CP b'fast for my Oct or Nov trip!!

Emily's FGIT asked Emily which hairstyle she would like and she chose the Fairy Tale Princess style, much to my delight and I didn't even have to coax her. I like the other styles too but for me this one just screams princess! Emily choose her tiara and then Laila began on her hair.

Took a break from hair to do her nails and make up

Back to hair, the tiara was placed as well as a gallon of gel and countless boppy pins!

Pixie dust was sprinkled and then Emily's reveal. They don't let the girls see themselves as they are getting made over and the PP person does an awesome job at getting that shot of them when they first see themselves!

The look on Emily's face alone made all of this worth it :cloud9:

I have to say that if you are debating on doing this with your little princess I strongly suggest you do it. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and we will definately be doing it again. The PP photographers that go around and take shots do a great job at getting every special moment captured, I actually took a ton of pictures myself but all of the ones I posted were from the PP because they turned out so well.

Done with the make over, we paid and made our way over to a special photo shoot at the old Tinkerbell's Treasures shop. I learned about the photoshoots her on the Disboards and I'm thankful of it too because noone said anything to us about it at BBB and when we got there, there was only one other girl who was just finishing up her shoot so I don't think many people know about this. Which is a good thing so don't tell anyone, lol.

Emily went up to start the shoot and the photographer took one picture before someone special came in.

Any guesses who it could be?

Fairy Godmother! She came in the shop and went right over to Emily aka Cinderella and asked if she could get her picture taken with her! I don't think I even need to tell you how excited both Em and I were. Cinderella has been Emily's favorite princess since before our first trip, when she wasn't even 2. She used to call her Ella Ella and called Fairy Godmother Baboo for Bippity Boppity Boo! In fact she still calls her Baboo, lol. FG complimented Emily on her hair, nails and make up and told her she loved her sensible slippers she was wearing (Emily had on light blue Crocs). Emily was in heaven, as was I. It was such a special moment for the 2 of us! FG sat and talked to her for quite a long while and then had to go so we said our goodbyes and Emily's photoshoot continued.

Once again, I cannot say enough good things about this. The shoot lasted about 15-20 minutes and all of the pictures were put on our photopass! Such a great experience, it's a shame more people don't know about it but in our case that was a good thing because we had the place to ourselves!

It was a little after 9am and the rest of the family was running late so I decided to try and run over and see how bad the line was for Rapuzel since we had time to kill.

Next up would we get to meet Rapunzel and Flynn and the rest of the family gets to meet our new princess!

:rotfl: You caught me in between posts!

I love that Tink shot, there's another coming up that's even better though:thumbsup2

This was the first time we did the early entry into the park and I gotta say it was wonderful, we will definately be making another early BB appointment next trip as well as a CP ADR!

I love the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!!! I agree with you that it is worth every penny!!! We were only able to get into the DTD location last year, but I got a MK one this year! It just seems even more special that it is IN the castle! :cloud9:

I love that she chose the princess hair!!! My daughter chose the "diva princess" where it is half bun but with the extensions. I tried to talk her out of it, but she is a dancer so I think wearing a bun 4 days a week to class has taken the magic out of it! :lmao: Emily looked like such a princess! princess:

Last year we did the big package that comes with some photo prints...so they told us where to go at DTD. I wonder if they just assume people won't want to do it? :confused3 I am SO glad you knew to go because holy pixie dust!!!!! :wizard: I gasped OUT LOUD when I saw the Fairy Godmother in your pictures! :goodvibes:goodvibes Oh my goodness! That is SO awesome!

What a great experience!! :thumbsup2

I love how empty Main Street was on your arrival and the picture of Emily skipping to the castle :cutie:

Wow at the pictures of her makeover - she looks like a princess! princess: Yay I guessed that you met the Fairy Godmother!! All the pictures from the makeover look too sweet! Can't wait to read more :)

Emily makes such an adorable princessprincess:! I wish they had BBB when my daughters were little.

*Sniff sniff*
I'm totally teared up over here. What a magical post! I smiled through the whole thing. Loved the shot of Emily on the bus, she looks so excited, and the empty MK shots! Wow! Can't wait to see that for my breakfast ADR :)! But those pictures of Emily's reveal and the ones of the Fairy Godmother are absolutely priceless.

I have happy tears for Emily in my eyes! From the moment you posted the picture of her going up the castle ramp! That has to be one of my favorite pictures so far of your trip! Then the pictures with Baboo...WOW! So completely magical for Emily (and you)! I love all the pictures...what a great treasure!

Okay, now I seriously need to figure out how to get my 14 year old to do BBB! :rotfl2: Not going to happen, but I am going to do the Tinkerbell magic picture with her. Tink was her favorite when she was little! What do I need to tell the photographer?

Looks like a fabulous time! Your little princess is adorable (even more than usual). :lovestruc So glad you both had a great time. What a fun memory for her to have with you.
