Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

Awww your chef Mickey plus is cute!
I've never eaten at EOS I don't think. I keep meaning to try it and never seem to get the chance.

I do the exact same thing at World of Disney, I walk around and around and spend so much time there, but end up coming out with just a few purchases. I mean if I was rich I would buy everything in the entire store, but I try to have some will power :lmao:

I love that hawaiian sandwich at EOS...yummm!! :goodvibes

I can imagine how frustrating that would be with the legos...I never realized how expensive they can be!

WOW - the new Lego store looks amazing, can't wait to go! Great update! DTD makes me so happy, I would be happing just walking around there every day.

Looks like such a fun time at DTD! Love all the pics of the cool statues/sculptures. Can't wait to take pics of my kids with those (if we get to DTD, which I am hoping to because of Babycakes). Those little mickey/minnie ears on the little Marie are sooo cute!

Lol at spending lots of time at DTD and coming back with a few purchases! I love the Marie that was bought and yay on getting your Christmas Ornament.

Shopping at DTD is always one of my favorite things to do! :thumbsup2 Your Mickey plush for your kitchen is adorable!

You definately should try to make it over to EOS, it is soooo good:love:

Yes if there were unlimited funds I think I could definately do some damage :rotfl: I usually do much worse at DTD than I did this year. I think because we weren't there as long as we usually are curbed my shopping a bit ;)

The new Lego displays outside are really cool! Love that they did something with princesses! I love DTD too, we usually do it on our arrival day so it gives us a bit of Disney without being in a park.

You should really try to make it over there, it's alot of fun. I love the Mickey ears too, they had outfits for them too, Emily wanted to get some but she shops like her mom and was maxed out by the end of the trip so I told her she had to wait until next year.

Lol at spending lots of time at DTD and coming back with a few purchases! I love the Marie that was bought and yay on getting your Christmas Ornament.

Isn't the baby Marie cute? Can you tell Emily has a thing for Marie ;) I always get an ornament from the Christmas shop on each trip. I have so many Disney ornaments now that hopefully I can finally do Disney tree this year as well as other one.

Shopping at DTD is always one of my favorite things to do! :thumbsup2 Your Mickey plush for your kitchen is adorable!

Thanks, I love that Chef Mickey, he has gotten compliments from everyone who has come over my house this summer :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! The kids really enjoy having these nights/afternoons and I have alot of fun trying to come up with ideas for them. The family fun website and the theme nights thread over on the families board give me lots of great ideas! Even though our next family trip is almost 2 years away we're going to keep up with the nights, not as often as we were doing them before our last trip but one or two a month! Don't laugh but I actually have a book that I wrote out the movies we want to do and when I see ideas for them I jot them down in the book. I get into lots of trouble in Michaels (craft store), besides buying things for everyday crafts that I do with the kids I am always on the lookout for theme night stuff!

Won't laugh at yours if you won't laugh at mine!!!!:lmao:

I love Emily's Marie! Did she get to see her in Epcot?!

I normally do not like to shop, but I have to admit I love the atmosphere at DTD! Last summer my assistant principal and I sat with margs and watched all the fun stuff on stage...have to admit I think we did a little dancing too! The boys are going to love the build a car place...hoping it will have moved and opened again by Christmas as well as the legostore! I can't wait to shop for ornaments at the Christmas store.

I'm jealous, I would love to hang out and drink margaritas and people watch at DTD. I just need to figure out what to do with those pesky kids of mine :rotfl2:

We need to compare our theme night notebooks, our next night is Bolt, have any ideas?

Emily got her little Marie at our Disney Store but they sell them all over parks too. They sell Marie, Lady, Tramp, Figaro and the Chesshire cat and you can add outfits and a carrying case for them. Emily's got all of them but Figaro (which she's now asking if we can get her).

Trust me doing WDW the first time with a friend was a great way to prepare for thie trip and do all the fun adult things that I could not do with the kids or dh for that fact! I hope you and your dh get to do it for Food and Wine!

The first night we went to DTD while we were still at our conference we hit happy hour way too many places...I am not a drinker (one every few months is about all I do)...but my friend is...let me tell you how strong the mojitos at Bongo's are...plus that fact that was stop 3 with no food...by the time we got to Pardisio 56 or is it 57 (my mind is still blurry) I could barely walk....but the hibiscus margs were awesome!

I'm not a huge drinker myself but we do indulge at Epcot ;) I am really looking forward to the Food and Wine festival, my neighbors own DVC and they go every year and cannot say enough good things about it!

Our 5th park day took us to DHS again. This is where my trip notes took a dive so I'm going alot by the order of my pictures. My first priority of the morning was supposed to be to sign up Sam up for Jedi Training, but I am a bad mom and forgot :scared1: Thankfully he forgot too and never even mentioned it later when he went over there to ride Star Tours :rolleyes1 We got to the park a little after rope drop and after stopping for a PP person headed straight away over to TSM, partnered up with DH this time and this time I won :cool1: We came out and it was super hot so we got some slushees to cool us down. This is where the majority of our snacks credits went, towards frozen treats! I had taken a bunch of pictures over in Pixar Place but was running out of space on my camera so decided to deleted some pictures since I had been uploading them to my laptop every night. Well the dummy I am erased the whole memory card but thankfully we still had the photopass pics.

By this point Christian was so over getting his picture taken, can you tell :lmao:

We next made our way over to The Voyage of The Little Mermaid, the next show was just about to start so I think we waited maybe 5 minutes. Since The Little Mermaid is my favorite movie I love this show, it's short but sweet and DD and I love to sing along:love:

After the show we went over to the Disney Animation building so DN could do the drawing class. There were only a few people waiting so we took our seats and waited probably 15 minutes or so. Everyone wanted to do the class but I was a little apprehensive about Sam because I know what a perfectionist he is. He's OCD and while he enjoys doing art projects he tends to melt down if he feels it isn't perfect. But since Sam said he wanted to do the class we went. They choose for the class to do Woody, which I thought would be fun, he's one of Ben's favorites. By the second instruction it went downhill, Sam went to erase a mistake he thought he made and freaked when he saw there was no eraser. I tried to tell him just to keep going, I showed him my picture so far which was by no means great but he didn't care. He balled the paper up and declared that he was done, so I exited the class as quietly as possible and took him to go play with the stuff outside. The rest of the family really enjoyed the class and their drawings weren't half bad either!

We were all hungry at this point and we had early dinner ADRs so our next stop was for lunch. Can't go to DHS without a visit to Pizza Planet, I probably could but the kids won't let us! Got to the the restaurant and as usual I grabbed seats with the kids while DH went and got our food. The place was packed but we lucked out wth a table upstairs. Not too hard to figure out what we got here, pepperoni pizza for DN, DSs and I, kids cheese pizza for DD, MIL got a salad and DH surprised me by getting a meatball sandwich which he said was ok. The pizza was good, I noticed that if you order the kids pizza with pepperoni they give you an adult size, which since my boys love pizza they were easily able to finish. Sam wanted to play some games so Christian took him downstairs for a bit while the rest of us finished up our food.

Next we headed over to see the Muppets. Once again Ben wanted to opt out of this one, even though he has seen it several times in the past for whatever reason he didn't want to do it so the rest went in while he and I went on a hunt for some Cars.

We went over to where McQueen and Mater usually are and were bummed to see that they were still off filming Cars 2 (that's what a CM told Ben). But we did see the line for a couple of newbies who were coming out in a few minutes, I asked about the wait and was told it would be about a hour! Sorry love ya Phineas and Ferb but I'll settle for a couple of pics taken when you just came out! I got Ben a set of cars from the new movie and we waited for the rest to come out of Muppets.

Next up a couple of shows and at last I get to see the parade!

We did the drawing class too - we did Minnie. My youngest got upset about her picture too - and balled it up! Crazy child. My oldest took the best art class a few years ago. It was great because the could only use sharpies. The teacher taught them that there are no mistakes in art - and that you can use your "mistakes" and make them part of the piece. It was a great lesson to help her get over any perfectionist issues :)

I knew even at a young age that I had zero artistic ability, so I don't expect much when I do the animation class :rotfl:

I love the pics of Phineas and Ferb...too bad the wait was so long to meet them!!

Oh everyone's drawings turned out really nice! We drew Donald Duck, and mine was unrecognizable! :lmao:

Pizza Planet is just so cute! We always have to stop there! :thumbsup2

Oooo your report is the first time I've seen Phineas and Ferb!!!! My daughter is going to be over the moon to meet them! :lovestruc

Sam likes to do art but really can get frustrated quite easily, the most issues we have at school are during art :sad2: His anxiety about making things "perfect" is just too much at times. He's actually began taking something for his anxiety issues this year and it really seems to be making a big difference at school.

Without specific instructions I am not very crafty either. I try to be but I'm not the most artistic, lol.

Yeah, as much as we love the characters, there is a cut off for how long we will wait and an hour was way past that cut off!

I would like to try and go back and do the art class again, just maybe have DH sit out with DS this time. I'm not a great drawer but I like to try!

I hope you guys get to see Phineas and Ferb, maybe the wait times will decrease once the hype of them being there wears off a bit!

I want to try the animation studio!! Looks like everyone did pretty good!!! Your DN's was great!

DHS looked fun! Your niece is quite an artist!

Thanks guys! Yes my DN is a very good artist, she studied art at school but after a couple of years of college she has now decided to she wants to do a different form of art, she wants to be a make up artist!

Love the PP pics! :thumbsup2 I'm glad you enjoyed VoTLM - can't wait to see it myself!

Love the Woody drawings.

Lol at McQueen and Mater being at filming for Cars 2!
