Princesses don't hit, kick or spit! A May/June TR Update 10/17 Snow White Theme Night

We are both on our AK day in our TRs, I was posting on mine today and then came here to read some of the same things LOL. :thumbsup2 You've got some good pictures, a lot of mine turned out blurred because I would take them while walking  Maybe now I'll learn to stop for a second!
Great update!!!

Your picture on Dinosaur is funny. Your husbands face cracked me up! Great report! I check every few days to see if you updated. Keep it coming.

Great character spottings!! I have not seen the two bunnies out together at the same time before, just pictures, they are too cute :goodvibes

I love Dinosaur, but that ride scares me every time...looks like it got a few people in your group photo :lmao:

Your character pics at Camp Minnie Mickey turned out great, I particularly like the one of your kids with Thumper, what a great pic.

FOTLK is always such a great show, and I love your pics from there too.

Can't wait to hear more:goodvibes

No, I like your "redneck" photo! LOL well I'm really glad that I don't have those shoppers in my family! I have no patience when it comes to that kid of stuff- I'm a need and go get it kind of person, not a let's think about it and oh what else do they have? except for groceries- I do this with groceries all the time! I do love the photos and I did't know that Dinosaur gives the kids buckets with a lunch? Nice! And I'm glad that you told us about the kid stations in AK because I asked about it one time on here and was told that it might be too babyish for a 7 yo- but your kids are his age and he's a boy, so bugs are good?!?! And thank you for doing a page or 2 a day! I can imagine it being tough sometimes, but it's nice to read about it!

I love all of your FofLK pictures!!!! That is one show we haven't made it to yet...I'm hoping to see it on our next trip! :thumbsup2

I hope you remembered the extra Mickey Bar for me! My boys saw these and were licking their lips! Our family are ice cream fanatics...even in December...so can't wait. I wonder why I did not eat one last summer...oh yeah I was going for the adult stuff!

Sorry about the gorillas...I hate that, and it always seems to be my luck that they won't cooperate with my camera! Hey this is Disney right...why did that CM in costume not cooperate? :rotfl:

Can you tell I am in a mood today?

I am adding the Kids Discovery Station to my list for touring. They look like fun! Whenever we go to a National Park the kids love doing the Junior Ranger programs, so I know they will love this!

Yeah, I was bummed about the trail, but its not so bad since I have dozens of pics of the gorillas from past trips!

Ahhhh Mickey bars! The other day in the grocery store I told the kids they could pick out some pops anad Sam asked why don't they sell Mickey bars here :lmao:

We missed dinosaur again on our last trip. I think I'm a bit afraid of it (without foundation of course) so I haven't made it a priority. Next time, I'm going to give it a try! I ride Everest, which I'm not crazy about, but have fun once I'm on it! Seeing your daughter riding dinosaur makes me want to give it try!

You should definately give Dinosaur a try, I don't think it's too bad, a bit jerky but not too much, I riden carnival rides that were much worse!

Loved all the pics, but especially the FOTLK shots. I can't wait to see that show again when we go!

Thanks, I love that show, makes me wish that I had seen it on Broadway which my MIL said is amazing!

I need to start working on my own trip report - and updating my ptr - but life is getting the better of me as I deal with 2 weeks worth of "stuff."

I can't imagine a line at conservation station - we actually rode over this year. But...we never managed to get over to see FotLK. My group just wanted to go back and forth from Everest and Kali!

Can't wait to read your report, get to work on it :rotfl:

We have never gone over to the Coonservation Station and it's something I think my kids would really like too. I can understand your kids love of Everest and Kali, If we gave my kids the option I think they would have riden Kali all day!

Great update!!!

I'll have to get over and catch up on your report. I love the great photo ops in AK, I would love a day just by meself to explore and take aas many pictures as I wanted without feeling rushed by the family!

Your picture on Dinosaur is funny. Your husbands face cracked me up! Great report! I check every few days to see if you updated. Keep it coming.

Oh, we have had funnier pictures in the past of Dinosaur! I forgot to put that in my update, I'll tell that story in my next one!

Great character spottings!! I have not seen the two bunnies out together at the same time before, just pictures, they are too cute :goodvibes

I love Dinosaur, but that ride scares me every time...looks like it got a few people in your group photo :lmao:

Thanks, I was so excited to see Thumper and Miss Bunny (or Thumper's wife as the kids call her). We've seen some great characters at AK in the past but when I saw Thumper in other peoples TRs I knew we just had to see him!

I love Dinosaur too! When we went back in 2002 my DS was really into the movie so we rode it so many times on that trip. 9 years later and he still loves the ride!

Oh, I don't think the stations were babyish at all, I read anothers TR where her kids did all of the stations and they all looked neat!

I am trying to update often, I love reading other peoples reports that do lots of updates. I am slacking a bit at the moment but we are on a mini vacation right now!

I love all of your FofLK pictures!!!! That is one show we haven't made it to yet...I'm hoping to see it on our next trip! :thumbsup2

Thanks, definately check out the show, it's always a must do on our trips!

FotLK! <3 I love that show! Loving the AK pictures!

Thanks!

Great report...love the photos! Keep 'em coming! :)

Thanks, I sometimes wonder if I am of picture overload on my report but I love looking at other pepoles trip pictures so I figure why not!

Sorry it's been a few days since my last update, we took a mini vacation up to my DH's brothers house over the weekend. We've also been keeping busy around the house. The younger boys are in a half day summer academy which has been a great thing because I can actually get my errands and grocery shopping done in the morning before they get home. Anyone who has multiple kids knows how hard it is to get things done especially grocery shopping. I swear when the boys come with me I end up spending at least $20 more on stuff they HAVE to have! We've been busy in the evenings with Christian's baseball, he's playing in his school's summer league and some of these games we've had to travel a good deal to get to. An hours drive in DC rush hour traffic can quickly turn into a 2 hour drive :headache: In between we've been trying to spend as much time at the pool as weather will allow and then of course there is this new puppy which we are desperately trying to house train. He is doing pretty well, bedtime is still a pain, we are getting up at least twice in the night to take him out but we are getting there! The kids have been bugging for a movie night, I have the supplies all ready it's just finding the time to do it

Ok so back to the report. I left off with us finishing up Dinoland and heading over to ride my DH's favorite ride, which of course is Everest! DN has never riden it so she was excited, DD really wanted to ride it but she was a couple inches too short so my MIL took her and Ben into the gift shop area while we rode. The standby wait was only like 20 minutes, we had Sam's pass so we went through the FP line which was basically a walk on.

As usual everyone loved the ride! After the ride we were looking for something to drink, it was hot as heck so we were happy to find a stand to get some slushees from to cool us down. We found another PP person and got some more pics taken.

To really cool ourselves down we were off for a ride on Kali River Rapids, once again Ben and MIL sat this one out, she didn't want to get wet and Ben just didn't want to ride, we got him on this a couple of years ago but he hated it so he's happy to stay with his Granny. My DN also skipped this one because she didn't feel like getting drenched. Now it's become a running joke that if you want to get really wet then you should sit by me, every single time we have riden this ride I always come off looking like a drowned rat. This time was no exception! I got soaked, once again far worse than anyone else on the ride, except Emily who was sitting beside me, she got just as wet! After the ride the kids apparently felt they didn't get wet enough so they had to play in the water fountain.

We then decided since it was so hot and we had done pretty much everything we had wanted to do that we should make our way towards the front of the park, the parade was staring soon and we wanted to make it out fo there before it started. But before we left we had to stop at the Tree of Life and see It's Tough to be a Bug. The first time we saw this Ben hated it but now he actually loves it. There was no wait so we walked right through, the only bummer about no wait is that I don't get to take as many pics of the tree, I always take a ton of pics of the carved animals but with us zipping through the line I didn't get as many as I'd like. I'll only bore you with a few carvings.

After the show we attempted to make our way out of the park but we blocked from exiting becuase of the parade. The kids were able to snags viewing spots while we stood in the back, didn't get any pictures of the parade because there was just too many people cramped around but we got to see some of it. Thankfully it was towards the middle of the parade so we didn't have to wait too long for it to pass. We left the park, hot and tired, excited to get back to Pop for a swim and possibly a nap.

Next up, some good food and shopping at DTD!

Am just catching up on your TR - mmm them Mickey bars look yummy! The Kids Discovery Club sounds like a fun way to pass some time.

Yay on meeting Thumber and Bunny - I am hoping they will be out on our AK day as would love to meet them!

Great EE photos and lol at always being the one getting drenched on KRR! :rotfl:

Love the Tree of life photos and I'm so gutted that ITTBAB will be closed during our trip.

It looks like you guys had a fun afternoon at AK, I love the pics of everyone in their bug glasses.

Can't wait to hear about Downtown Disney:goodvibes

Oh my gosh the kids were soaked after Kali!! I have only been on that once and had to leave after it, because I was so soaked I couldnt walk :rotfl:

Everyone looks so cute in the bug glasses!! Good thing you got photopass...its good to see you in the pictures, I can tell you are normally the camera person since we only see you then :rotfl:

I love the tree pictures! They came out great! And the photopass- you look like you really took advantage of that- what a good thing! Oh your pictures are so great I can't wait to get to Disney in December!

Great update! Love AK :D I ALWAYS get wet on Kali too. We must sit in the same seat!

Glad I'm not the only one! I am smart and dress accordingly, I don't understand women that get on that wearing white shirts, lol.

What a bummer about ITTBAB :sad1: I think Thumper must be out alot lately because I've seen him in alot of peoples TRs so hopefully you'll get to see him!

Love the bug glasses! Great pics of the animals in the tree of life.

Thanks, the bug pictures are always a must, I take them of everyone each year, my favorite is still of DS15 when we went when he was 6!

Every year I ride Kali and get soaked and every year I say never again. Then it is always so darn hot in AK and I end up riding :rotfl:

yes you will probably only catch me in PP pictures, my DH is a horrible photographer and almost every pic he takes of me gets deleted. I know I'm bad but seriously he will just take random shots when your not looking and he doesn't undestand the concept of zooming in!

Oooo cooling off on Kali is always a good idea!!!! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

Thanks, I really loved the Photopass pictures, the was the first year that I really hunted the photographers down and I'm so happy I did!

Great pics! :) I'm way too chicken to even go near EE!!! I would love to try Kali but not sure if I'd want to risk getting that soaked! :lmao:
