Princess Weekend 2022

The wording used in the first bit doesn't appear at all on my rundisney account. I'm trying to dissociate my cousin from my rundisney account but all I can do is click to view and sign document.

Given that the registrations for me on the same account are refusing to let me do that for me I'm a bit confused.

Any thoughts, oh expert one? TIA.
I'm having the same issue, but for Spring Surprise. I was able to sign my waiver for both the princess 5k and the challenge, my daughter's (she's a minor) 10k and 10 miler for Spring Surprise, and my 10 miler for Spring Surprise. However, for the 10k, it won't let me sign and wants me to have me enter "that person's" email so she can sign and gives me an error when I enter my email. It's odd.

Crazy race dream last night: It was the morning of the 10k, but I forgot to pick up my race bib! Or go to Florida! Oh, wait, no problem, the start line is actually at my house this year! I only took a brief moment mid-dream to wonder how all those people are going to start the race up the narrow 1-lane private road to my house, and also how all the runners are going to fit in my yard to form corrals. This was quickly brushed aside.
But wait! I'm not at my house, I was out shopping! And the race is about to start! Better try to get to my house, er, start line on time. Oops forgot to put on my race costume. I'll just have to run in whatever I'm wearing. Thank goodness that happens to be running clothes.

We must be a month out from race time.

Good thing it didn’t also morph into one of those “show up to something important without any clothes” dreams 😆😆

This has reminded me of how for my first half marathon (which was the Disney MW half in 2015), I FORGOT A SPORTS BRA and didn’t realize it until the morning of. I am a 40DD so this was BAD. I ended up wearing a regular bra, my tightest tank top, and my shirt which was pretty tight but omg. Nightmare lived.

Hi!
I am registered for the 10k and very excited about it!
This will be my first runDisney race and first race since having kids so it will be a big accomplishment ☺
unlike many of you, I am not looking forward to the expo (I know, I know…) and would like to get my bib and tshirt as fast as possible
We are landing on Wednesday night and will be spending the day in MK on the Friday, so I was planning on going to the expo on Thursday around noon, but I am worried it will be jam packed… any thoughts on how to avoid the craziness?
Also, for the character pictures, how long are people usually waiting in line? I am by no way a competitive runner but usually run around 4:45 min/km and I want to know what to expect… could could complete the 10k within an hour even with stopping for a few pictures? (Which would give 10-15 min for pictures overall)
I just have no idea what to expect!!!
Thanks 😊

:welcome:

If you want to avoid the crowds, then plan on going to the Expo a little later. I would imagine the crowds will start to thin around 2-3pm. Since the Expo is probably going to open at 10am on Thursday, then noon is likely to be crowded. The bib pickup is almost always quick and easy (likely in HP Field House) and shirt pickup is in the Visa Athletic Center (with non-rD expo merch). So you'll miss the biggest draw of rD merch in the Advent Health Arena. So that'll help.

To an extent, it will depend on what starting group you are assigned to. It should be based on the estimate you put on your registration. The faster the estimate, the lower the starting group. So if you start early, then you'll see fairly short lines (0-2 min), but if you start further back or it's a rare character lines can get as long as 10-15 min per. The more you stop, the more people pass you which means more people could stop in line for pics too.

How bad is it at 10am (or whatever opening is) on Day 1 of expo? Should I get there at 9:30-9:45? We switch resorts that day, and I'm hoping to get back at RR by 11am, hop in an uber with my family and all our stuff (we will have groceries which I heard bell service no longer moves for you), drop stuff off at VGF, then head to AK for a ride or two before 2pm Tiffins ADR. Realistic? I'd like to grab my # and shirt, and maybe get a few other runD things? This is my first runD weekend (can you tell!). Thoughts on this timeline?
Going later in the day would be hard - trying to squeeze in a massage at 4:30 at GF spa before dinner, and then MK fireworks (such problems I know....)

You would be able to grab your bib and shirt easily before 11, but If you are looking to get into the rD merchandise area, no way. The line will form well before 9:30am and likely be a few hours long until early afternoon. If you don't mind risking some things being sold out, you could pop by the expo later or another day to shop what's left.

Ah ok. So for any runD mech stuff, I need to allot a few hours? What if I line up there first, at 9am? Earlier? I'm doing Yoga that day, so I'll be up! Then grab my # and shirt at the end?

Here are three separate years of data from my expo experience for Marathon Weekend (link).

I think a realistic expectation if you’re using runDisney transportation is at least 2.5 hours (but it did take me 5 hours once) from the moment you get on a bus to the moment you return to your original location. And runDisney expo buses can be hit or miss in terms of how long you wait to get on one at the resort. So don’t just assume you’ll walk down and get on one (which could happen) or you could be waiting for 60-90 min before even boarding a bus (which could happen). Expo bus should start running around 9:30am (or 30 min prior to open). If you want to leave/arrive earlier then you’ll have to have other transportation.

If you’re there Day 1 at opening for the rD merch expect craziness. It will be very busy. If you want anything specific after seeing a merch preview, then you must be there at open. Otherwise there is a good chance of sell out. If you’re not looking for anything in particular, then you can show up later in the day. For MW, the wait time around open for the rD merch area was something like 60-90 min. So the earlier you’re willing to arrive, then the sooner you’ll leave afterwards. I’ll probably be there around 8am, but only because everyone else in my party is going to the parks and they’re just dropping me off. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t be there that early. I believe MW started letting people who had been waiting in line into the rD merch area around 9:45am, but those people got in line much earlier.

I'll take uber there and back - hopefully that will cut down on some time.

I'll join you on the early side! Well I may not be able to hop in line with you, but I can get there as early as 8-8:30am. Maybe I'll bring my laptop and get some work done using my phone as a hotspot...

Hear me out a second:
It just occurred to me this evening while making dinner, that maybe they are delaying releasing the guide because there is a *bad* change in there, that everyone will *hate*, and they are delaying so we have less time to gin each other up on social media discussing and dissecting and getting each other worked up!
Or it could just be more than 3 weeks out and it's not ready to be released yet

I’m hoping they’re just feelin a bit behind and whoever needs to sign off on the upload has been out on PTO haha. But all we can do is keep training and see what happens!

Well, thanks for a new thing to worry about 😆😆😆

I was wondering if maybe somebody thought they published it, but it’s really just sitting in a drafts folder or something
