I can’t remember which year it was, but the course maps came out one year and the drawing went around and not through the castle. People FREAKED out. It ended up just being an artist interpretation or was a real possibility depending on who you ask.

I'm pretty sure it was 2017 because that was my first challenge and first Half and I was truly worried about not getting to run through the castle!

The half course looks a tiny bit different from the MW course (location of the start corrals, the exit area from MK and the 11mi/1mi areas.)

The 5k and 10k courses look to be identical to MW.

I was just reading that!! So strange! Is there extra road construction around Epcot that they don’t want so much additional traffic??

It looks to be just a self parking thing. Because in the bus transportation section it has to/from Finish line at both EPCOT (to resorts) and DHS. So it seems like a parking issue, or road closure issue.

Or they want to make the line easier for going through security?? (everyone coming from the same direction instead of the weird issues for the 5k of MW)

ETA: but parking is available at Epcot for the 5k and 10k,.

It looks like the small course change around mile 1 is causing the road into Epcot to be closed. World drive?

So are the routes basically the same as marathon weekend, that is what it is looking like correct?

That transportation link also show a bus link from the finish are to DHS after the half only, so the finish is probably still at Epcot. They'll just shuttle the self-drivers back over to that lot after the race.

It does look like they're using the same 10K route as MW!

I think Epcot Center Drive (westbound) is currently closed for construction
