Trip questions...

I've seen mention of Wish Lounges, one at MK and one at Epcot, is this correct? Are they both great, is one better then another? If we were to do just one, which one would you suggest?

How does parking work at the parks? I've seen mention that if you flash the wish button or another button (not sure what exactly??) you get preferred parking, is this true? Now when we park, is it a far walk to the actual park? We are getting a double stroller for the kids, so they will be okay but I have no idea how this all really works.

Our character meals are at Akershus and Cape May at 820 and 850am, respectively. How much time do we need to give ourselves to get from GKTW to the restaurants so we aren't late? Do we need to be at the restaurants earlier then our reservation time?

can't help on the Wish lounges or button perks...but parking at the parks I can!

at MK - you park, hop on the tram if needed, then either the monorail or ferry to MK entrance....the other parks park, walk or tram if needed to gates

Always plan on being to your ADR's 10-15 minutes early to check in, sometimes they will seat you early too if available tables....from other MAW TR's I think the drive is about 20-30 min from GKTW, but I'm sure someone who's been there will have more info on all of that for you!


I've checked the usps site again, still no movement on your package, its been 15 days since I dropped it off...they told be 8-10 days at most I am so hoping it shows up before long!
I have to go to the PO tomorrow so will see if they can tell me anything!

There are lounges specifically for wish kids in both Epcot and MK. They are completly different. The one in MK is themed after the Genie from alladin and has a "magic" carpet and some beautiful stained glass work. The one in Epcot is sponsored by some company (I think) and though I have only seen pics once (on Juliannas report) it looks really cool and futuristic. I remember pictures of color changing floors that I thought were really cool. Both are so different I don't think I could give a suggestion as to which to visit. If you get the chance it might be nice to visit both if only for a few minutes since they won't be available to you again.

As someone else posted 30 min. give or take seems to be what most report for the drive to parks from GKTW and I too would suggest getting to your ADR's a bit early. Also remeber Askerhaus is in Norway inside Epcot so you will need to walk through the park to get there.

Thank you so much for posting the photos of the kids wearing the outfits. That has absolutely made my day. I hope you know that as we sew things for families we keep each of them in mind, offering a prayer or silent words of encouagement for stressful situations.

The smiles on the faces of Peanut and Monkey are priceless. Here's wishing improved health as you head towards your trip.

Thanks for the tips about parking and the ADR's! Wow, I didn't realize there was so much to do to get in MK. I thought you got to the park, parked your cars and walked in. Yikes. That should be interesting with the stroller, 2 kids and all of Peanuts things. Ah well, c'est la vie!

It was such a great surprise when the postal truck pulled up. Hubby looked at me and asked what I had bought. For once I could say nothing.

There will be a CM at the gates and they will have your name on a list...You will get to walk into Epcot before the park opens...it was SOOOO cool when we did it! I loved being one of the first in the park, even if we were just going to eat!

I wanted to add that this is the perfect time for doing photos without large crowds around. So get there even a few minutes earlier if possible so you can stop along the way and take some pictures.

Great idea about the pics. We are obviously doing the photopass, but you are right, perfect opportunity for them!! And thanks, the kids are so great about getting their pics together. I just love how they hold eachothers hands.

Thanks girls, she is doing much better. She still isn't 100%, but definitely way better then she was. Phew!! The migraines, well that is another story. But we'll get there. Thanks for keeping my sweet girl in your thoughts.

Awe, thanks. Monkey is still sick but i'm hoping he starts to turn around soon. Last night was a rough night for him, fingers crossed he doesn't get worse. Poor dude. Love the graphics, they are so cute.

Hello. No package yet...hopefully soon. I don't want you to stress about it. I hope you have an AMAZING vacation - I can't believe its almost here. Sorry I haven't checked in on your PTR in a bit. I haven't been on in a few days, so i'm so behind on everything. Thanks for keeping Peanut in your thoughts, it means a lot.


Tomorrow is the day for Peanuts admission. I just feel sick about it all, I just want her home where she belongs. I hope the week goes by quickly, that it all goes according to plan (only a week admission and no longer), and that her tube change goes smoothly too.

I'm a day late in posting this BIG GIVE, but here I am finally. This Big Give is from Chiara (not sure of the Dis name?), she sent along WISH tees for the the whole family, and Mickey/Minnie shirts for me and hubby. The shirts are awesome, and we definitely love the Mickey/Minnie ones. You did such a great job Chiara, thank you SO much for doing something so special for our family. Sorry for no fashion show, the kids were feeling crummy and a little on the stubborn side.
