PRINCESS Palooza 2011! 9/9 Update: Departure Day

Gorgeous pictures from the castle! I love the snowflake fabric you used on Katie's dress. That is just a little bit different and so pretty. Perfect for December.

I have that same picture of my DD in front of the Cinderella window at CRT and it is one of my favorites from that trip. The lighting there is very pretty. Katie looks like true royalty! :cutie:

I had to chuckle over the Snow White comment. She did go a little heavy on the blush, didn't she?

So glad you didn't get wet and glad that you got your tripod back! :worship: How awesome is that! I am so looking forward to your beautiful MVMCP pics, WITH your tripod! ;)

(Is it just me or does this lady not look very excited about being there?????)

Okay, I seriously just snort-laughed!

We headed to the left up the ramp to the castle on the Liberty Square side....... and caught some glorious afternoon sun hitting the castle:

Gorgeous!!!!!

While you were getting rained out in MK, we were getting dumped on in Mexico. Luckily we had Mexican Donald to keep us occupied for a few minutes then we braved the wet.

I was hesitant to say anything but I was thinking that Snow White and Sleeping Beauty looked a little rough. WDW might want to revisit the casting. Maybe another reason to not have so many meet and greets?;)

Loved the updates. Great photos once again. Fun to read along with your trip report. It was fun to see the now and then photo too!

Why do our kids have to grow up so quick?

Thanks Mike.

And yes, it goes FAR too quickly. I'm still trying to adjust and make the most of today, but have a hard time dealing with how fast it all is going.

Thanks Rinky! I had been looking for snowflake fabric for a Cindy gown and thought that was just perfect.

I really felt like I was living a charmed life when she came out with my tripod! I was quite glad I resisted the urge to order one right away.

LOL! We stood and looked at that old lady for 15 to 20 minutes waiting for them to let in the party people. I know she was working at the most magical place on Earth and all...... but never once could I tell it by looking at her face! :lmao:

I'm glad you found some cover from the rain as well. Drew got drenched coming in to meet us after dinner, but we completely missed THAT downpour........ :rolleyes1 How late did you stay at Epcot that day? Where were you ..... say..... around 8:30 that night? :rolleyes1

LOL! I sort of thought so this time. I've always heard the face characters are better looking in CA because they are all trying to break into the movies in Hollywood.

We saw the same Belle (not this one, one that comes up later) 3 times. And while she was pretty, she looked Italia to me, not anything like I envision Belle.

Thanks Glennie! It's about time isn't it???

I picked up that fabric last summer the minute I saw it in the store. I have something more "funky" in mind for this year...... Gotta keep my pre-teen interested you know!
The material was perfect for a Christmas Cinderella. I was just showing Julia the pictures and she got so excited. She said Mommy that looks just like the girl we saw at Disney. She wanted to go back and start at the beginning of your trip report.
Now I will have to wait 10 months to see what you have in store for your pre- teen princess. OR maybe I will just have to book a trip around yours and hope we run into you in the park again.

Looks like fun! So does Katie just say hey, look at my shoes? while meeting Cinderella? And who decides the poses she does with the princesses - her, or the princesses?

Hi!! :wave2:
I have just finished reading your whole trip report (so far!). It is great!! :thumbsup2 Loving your photos too! I have been taking notes along the way so I can take them with me in October!
You are very talented - behind the camera and behind the sewing machine!!
Thanks for sharing and I will be looking out for more when you can!! :surfweb:

Hooray for your found tripod! Hahah, that Snow White... interesting...

Yep. HUGE relief they found the tripod. :goodvibes

LOL! That's adorable! Thanks for that. :goodvibes And if you can guess when we're going, let me know, will you? :teeth: Actually we'll probably end up there about the same time. I was also considering the week before Thanksgiving. I'm sort of tired of always ending up at the most crowded parties of the year. But I also like the idea of going as late into the year as possible in case there are delays opening the Fantasyland stuff.

I think Cindy sees the gown then almost always asks if she wore her glass slippers too. As for the poses..... vavious princesses have shown her how to pose over the years. She pretty much has it down to do it on her own now. If not, I can ask "give me something princessy" and she'll come up with something!

:welcome: I'm glad you found us! And many thanks for the kind words.

We were probably shopping in EP somewhere...

I am so happy they found your tripod...what a relief!
I love your comments about the Princesses...I can't do that with Claire yet, but I do critique them in my head. And Snowy sure had a lot of rouge on...wow! Did she talk in a high pitch squeal too? The one we had was so annoying, I swear I kept staring at her because it was so funny sounding.

So glad you got your tripod back!! I really thought you wouldn't, but what a great surprise. I can't wait to see the pics from this evening. :)

Your dinner pics are wonderful, too. Katie looks adorable in her Cinderella dress, but some of those princesses were something else. That Snow White.. Eleven or four years old, I have a feeling you weren't the only ones talking!

INDOORS....... I hope. Glad you were't on Test Track, or say.... some other fast moving outdoor ride........ :rolleyes1

Hey, Disney has to grow with us, right????? And yep, she had the high pitched squeal going. I think that's a requirement......

Thanks! I was really shocked when she came out with the tripod. Not because I didn't think they'd find it. But because I thought if they found it they would have left me a message!

Snow White was probably one of the most "interesting" characters from our trip. Belle would be "least authentic". I really thougth our Cinderella that night was one of the prettiest. Most fun was one of our Drizellas. Let me think which one........ Did I mention we met the Tremaines at least 6 times? :lmao: Nah, can't pick. There were a couple of them that were REALLY fun.

Kadence says she in jealousy :lmao: over Katie's dress. It is lovely! I like the snowflake material.

We are scoping out your Christmas decor photos:rolleyes1 Looks so festive!

YAY, tripod back and in action! I bet you were so shocked! Can't wait to see the results of a steady camera!

I so have snarky comments about some of the characters, but like Jen I don't say them to Kadence. John and Sammy have had that look on their face like they wanted to say WOW, but we just smile and whisper to each other later.

Hey Drusilla, your blush is looking for ya!:rotfl:

AH HAH!!!! :santa: Checking out the Christmas decor, huh??????? Hmmmmmm.......

I was really excited about getting my tripod back. I REALLY wanted to take my fireworks pictures that night......... too bad things conspired against me............ Oy vey..........

And LOL on the Drizella line! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: I'm getting old enough and cranky enough to maybe ..... just maybe........ actually SAY that!

Ok, maybe not. But definitely old and cranky enough to consider it!

The funny part is that our really fun interactive Drizella from 1900 PF later in the week turned up AS Snow White at MVMCP the next night!

Caught back up again!

I love looking at your pictures!:lovestruc They are just so fabulous. Katie does a wonderful job looking so princessey. The fabric on the Cindy dress is to die for. I really looking forward to more.

Oooh that Snow White looks awful!! I know a Snow White IRL and she looks JUST like SW! It was funny, she never told me what she did at Disney, but I knew she worked there (did the college program). Then someone posted a picture and I thought- "Gee… that looks like so-and-so" and sure enough it was her! I was amazed and in fact, I'm still a little giddy about it. Just knowing that she IS a princess is almost too much, you know??? :cloud9:

I'm not really sure how I stumbled upon your trip report but I am really enjoying reading it. I love all of your dresses you've made for Katie they are just gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks Vanessa! Katie's had some good trainging through the years on getting her princess poses just right. I think it's adorable when the princesses take the time to show her how to do it.

So you know real royalty? :cloud9: I met a girl working at JoAnn's who used to play Belle at Disneyland. I just thought it was so WRONG that she was checking people out at Joann's!
