Princess Met & Greet - are tickets transferable?

I was able to secure the princess meet tickets for my kids early on, but I also realize my 3y might freak out when she meets them (her older sister refused at 3y, but at 6y now she isn't afraid anymore). If my 3y refuses to go once we're onboard, could I let my friend's daughter use her ticket instead? (my friend is a new disney cruiser and they were not able to get any tickets in advance)

When we went in March they had our names on a list, no tickets. If your friend's daughter went with you I think it would fly. They just checked our last name and there were 3 of us so they marked us off the list and moved on. I do think officially they aren't transferable.

They are phasing out tickets and just ask your cabin number. We were never queried as to the names.

We actually had two slightly separate times (3 cabins were silver and one was not). We checked with guest services when we arrived and they were fine with all four cabins going together at the earlier designated time, no issues...so I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem to swap or add a single child.

Also, don’t necessarily expect your younger to be just like your older. She is her own person. :) Plus She could well want to do what her sister is doing and even if she is scared she will suck it up. (In other words: don’t plant ideas in her head that she might be afraid.)

Obviously not! But she’s had a few full meltdown (jumping on to any adults nearby or literally running for the washroom and refusing to come out, accompanied by full on bawling) whenever she sees a characters at birthday parties/places. (To be fair, my older one still gets scared so it doesn’t help calm my younger one)

The only reason I got her the princess ticket is because her older sister is fine with princess finally and she seems to do better when she can see the faces. And I’m going to be as encouraging as I possibly can.. ! We will see what happen :)

I was surprised with my kids, my oldest is finally into characters (5 years old, been to disney 3 times), my middle child was a little unsure at first but he then was ALL ABOUT THEM. He also had meltdowns previous to this :P He was 2 last time and he got all excited. So don't get too worried about it just yet!

You could also try to talk to her about it sooner about how she'll get to meet a princess and such. I noticed with all of my kids they seem better with the princesses because they look like actual people versus the animal characters where its like this giant character lol

On our previous cruises, they didnt seem to really care about WHO specifically was going to see the Princesses, but more about having a proper count of the number of people. We've switched it up before, once given two of our tickets away, and another time, someone in line gave us an extra ticket. They are now phasing out most printed tickets, so I think its still probably just mostly a head count.
