Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2026 (Feb 26-Mar 2, 2026)

Since my wife is the one who registered me, she did the whole transfer registration process. When I went into the link to do the transfer, instead of adding Princess to my normal runDisney account, it added a second participant account under my username/log in. Now I have to switch back and forth between participant accounts. Anyway to consolidate this so they all show under my main account? I am guessing I may have to email rD?

I am in the same situation and have had this happen before. Send an email to them and they can merge them. They will email you back asking for your correct account info. One of the interesting things this time was the addition of this language on the email:

To ensure the safety of all accounts, please ensure you carbon copy the email in your response (CC) each participant on your reply email or who registered you for the race. This step is required for us to take action on these accounts.

So be sure to CC your wife using her runDisney account email. I didn't see this the first time, had to resend it and now am waiting.

I would guess that almost no one not of Medicare age would have any idea or have ever seen a piece of carbon copy paper.
I'm happy to see rD is hiring senior citizens (like me).

Anyone have any good/bad experiences flying into/out of SFB for race weekends? Allegiant has direct flights, but IDK if it would be worth the flight savings if the transportation is going to be a pain.

Sanford is an easy airport to fly in and out of. But it’s northeast of Orlando, and between a 50 minute to an hour drive to Disney. You’ll be on toll roads or I-4 (where depending on the time of day you may pay for the express lane to avoid I-4 insanity). If you were going to rent a car anyway, the savings compared to MCO might make it worthwhile. If not, factor in the Uber/rental costs to see where the numbers line up.

Depending on what time of day you fly in/out, you could order Nancipants' ride share service, free to runDisney friends.

Yeah I plugged in the routes for Uber this morning and sfb was about $80 (plus tip) while mco was $35 (plus tip) and mears would be $16 (plus tip??). I was NOT planning on renting a car. Additionally, allegiant offers a pretty limited flight schedule (which isn’t released yet) so I don’t even know if it would make sense to fly with them. But the perks of a direct flight are worth considering.

😂 that is a very kind offer.

I've used Allegiant to fly into SFB for a work conference in Orlando. It's a much easier/smaller airport than MCO. As you know, it's also further so transportation generally costs more.

I chose Allegiant because of the direct flight. Most of my coworkers chose a United connection and were stuck at ORD due to storms. They missed the first day of the conference while I had no issues at all. I highly prefer nonstop flights because it's less chances for things to go wrong. All that said, Allegiant did leave me on vacation an extra day once because they had to ground most of their flights for safety inspections. It can be hard to adjust your flights with those low cost carriers since they have such fewer flights. Since you seem to be on a strict timeline, it might be better to choose an airline & airport with more options in case things go awry.

I was able to get the challenge for myself, but not the 10K for my 11yo DD who desperately wanted to run her first race. Thanks to the tip on here - we signed her up for a charity bib. She’s reached out to members of the local community for the charity she is running for and has some great collaboration fundraising with them on the go.

After just 2 days she’s already halfway to her goal! So in the end, it was a blessing in disguise that we dealt with the initial disappointment in Tuesday. Now she’s learning the valuable lesson of service and hard work. I’m excited for her to learn more about this charity and the community so by the time February rolls around, she really feels connected to the cause.

As someone who works for a nonprofit, I LOVE stories like this! Fundraising doesn't come easy to most people (even those of us who live and breath it), so that really speaks to her commitment and passion for the work being done. What a fabulous inspiration she is, and kudos to you for turning this lemon into a potential lifetime of lemonade!

I have seen people say that the race shirts are being done by a new company and the sizing is much smaller. Is this true?

To go along with that, has the actual rundisney merch sizing changed as well? I’m interested in preordering one of the jackets, but I’m debating on the size…

They changed as of springtime surprise from RunDisney branded to Brooks…
I got the same size as normal and they fit okay
I know that they were going for more fitted styles especially in the women’s cut with some of the purchaseable collections as of late

I’m normally an XL but I went with a double XL for my shirt. I like it. I have 3 other Brooks running shirts and the XLs are more slim fitting that other running shirts I have.

I feel like a fool. I pooh-poohed the $423 flights I could have purchased, and now they're nearly $670. :scared: :scared: Tons of time for prices to change, but I really do like getting them locked in early.
Ugh, I hate it when that happens. I have since learned to set up google alerts on all my flights so I know when prices are going up or down. Good luck. I need to purchase airfare soon too!

I went ahead and booked flights on Sun Country a day or two after I registered. I can always rebook for a credit if the price goes down (unlikely, since the airfare itself was pretty cheap)

sun country has just started flying out of my local airport, but their flight schedule doesn't go past the first week of November at this point, and only flies into Ft Meyers/RSW which is a 2.5 hr drive over to Disney. Uuuuuugh.

I've been looking at Southwest's flights but their times kind of suck (530am flight that doesn't land until after 1pm?) for Thursdays, and their schedule is pretty regular. Pretty irritated with myself at this point because I didn't want to "over pay" for flights.

I have a google flight tracker from this past PW when I was trying to figure out how to convince DH to let me snag a last-minute bib and even 2mo out from those flights were definitely on the high side, and didn't come down until like 10 days out, I'm assuming on Frontier based on the prices.

I'm lucky to be in MN, so we get all the SunCountry flights (and fly in and out of the smaller terminal!)

I always hated SWA's indirect flights, but I thought I was getting a good deal by not having to pay luggage and seat fees. But now they're adding those in (and the flights aren't getting cheaper 🙄) and I realized when my grandma and I had to switch last minute for Springtime that SunCountry with seat and bag fees cost about the same as SWA without the fees, and I got direct flights, I became a convert.

For Princess, flights were only $270 from Houston to Orlando. Way cheaper than Marathon Weekend. So I bought those right away before those prices went up.
