Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2025 (Feb 20-24 2025)

What are you interested in?

I've been to the Expo on the last day to go back for some pictures or to shop for the more generic merchandise.
I have purchased the ears for every runDisney race I've done so far - Luckily, I'm not interested in anything super popular like the metallic jacket. I have to get my bib for the 5k on Thursday anyway so I was curious whether it was worth trying to be there super early but after reading some other posts I think my plan is to go to Disney Springs first and then brave the expo and hope there are some ears left(:

Can someone help me plan how to best get to AK from the 5k? Also, is there an Uber area after the race?

Same deal as your previous question about getting to MK from the 5k: you can can take a bus to a hotel and then to AK. I think there's a rideshare area but not sure where it is.

Sounds like your first runDisney event, you’ll have a blast. The race starts at 5:00 and can take an hour to get everyone on the course. Depending on you corral you probably be finished before 7:00, I finished the 5k marathon weekend in the dark and I walked it. I think they want everyone off the course by 7:30 Too early to get into any of the parks so you’ll have time to kill. Cast members in the reunion area parking lot can help with info for ride share pick up.

Because the buses share a road with the start of the race, no buses will leave after the 5K until everyone has cleared that part of the course, which is usually about 6:30am. AK does have an early entry for on-site guests at 7:30am, so buses will be running from the resorts by 7 if not sooner. If you finish fast and are in a hurry and trying to make that early entry, you could take a rideshare and probably beat the buses back to your resort. Their pickup is on the opposite side of the finish area from the buses, so they won't have to wait for the runners to clear.

ok - cool! thank you! it's my second runDisney experience, but first 5k. last time we did the 10k and took the bus to contemporary for breakfast and then walked to mk. with AK opening early just looking to figure out how to maximize all the time in the parks since we only are doing one park day. i'm tired already, ha! soooooooooooo excited though - it's so soon!

Does anyone know if the only way out of the corrals to go back to the bathroom is out the back (before the corral closes obviously). I'm really wanting to get in the first couple rows of A for the 10k because I'm going for a PR all out race. I was stuck halfway back during the wine and dine 10k and wasted a lot of energy in the beginning weaving. I have no problem getting to the corral super early, but if I do that I'm pretty sure I'll have to run to the bathroom at some point. Will they let you out the side anywhere and then back in the same spot?

I don't believe they will. I haven't seen anyone get out that way before other than just pushing your way back through the crowd,

I was in the front of B last year, was able to get out at the front gate, but I had to worm my way back to the front (from the back gate) coming back.

I agree, as long as you're just one person, it's pretty easy to worm your way to the front of A/B corrals. Obviously don't wait until last minute when people start crunching forward, but if you go like 30 min before, people are usually spread out quite a bit. I lost my group and had to weave around people to find them in the corrals and no one gave me dirty looks or anything.

Yeah, I feel like it was around 30 mins when I went into the corral at W&D and just couldn't get any further forward. I guess I wasn't being as sneaky as I could have been though haha

I've seen them let people out right before the starting line before, but I've only seen it happen once. A security person opened the gate for them, they sprinted back to the porta potties, then I believe they were let back in at the same spot.

One week! Yay!!!

So, meet ups -- pre-races at the usual light pole, yes?

Hurricane Hanna's is currently under construction, so we'll have to pick a new place for a Saturday meet up, if people are still interested.
I won't be at Princess but did a bit of research in case HH was closed for MW. Might I humbly suggest the pool bar at the Swan? It is in the same area, so easy to access with Disney transportation, and as far as I can tell, access isn't limited to guests. https://swandolphin.com/dining/splash-pool-bar-and-grill/

Just looked at the 1/2 Marathon Route. Seems we are doing the opposite direction up to Magic Kingdom and back to Epcot than what was done over the past few years (but the overpass path at around mile 11 is the same).

I'm pretty sure it's the same half route they just used for Marathon Weekend. Be extra careful through the area between Poly and MK, especially in the dark. It was tight and full of holes from all the construction work!

Yes, I was talking about princess weekend races, being the first time that I can remember. Some of us don't do all the Disney races. Hopefully they have fixed the holes by now.
