Curious if there is a recommended time for the PFF when the line wont be too long. We will be @ Disneyland May 12th-19th. planning on being in the parks Sun, Mon and Wednesday. Thanks
Get in line about 30 min before the PFF opens. Yes, you'll be waiting before it opens, but it will be the shortest this time of day. And it's fun to watch how long the line is as you're led into the line because it gets crazy if you don't get there early.
Check the Times Guide for sure. There are some days when PFF opens the same time the park opens. (It may or may not apply for your trip, but I've seen happen at least twice.) When that happens you can head back there right away and should have virtually no wait. Many of the kids and families don't arrive at the parks exactly at park opening.
On the down side, there may only be 2 princesses. One off-season day I got to the park at opening and went straight to Pixie Hollow (very short wait--maybe 3 people--but just Tinkerbell) and then back to the PFF (very short wait--maybe 5 minutes--but just Snow White and Cinderella).
On a day in June (just around the time summer hours started) we went to PFF maybe 30 minutes after park opening on a day it opened at park opening. The wait was probably about 30 minutes--certainly shorter than the rest of the day.
Someone recently reported a 5 minute wait for PFF when it rained, so if it rains during your trip you can slip back there and try your luck!
That was us! A very cool Day and early morning rains meant when Pff opened at 10 only 2 people were in line before us. We waited 5 mins. We saw Belle then Ariel then Tiana. Later that day it was cool but not misting or raining we saw Alice by wishing well and Cinderella and fairy godmother with no wait. This was Sunday during Spring Break
