Princess Dining

HI,
This is my first trip to disney and I have 4 children. I was looking for input as to dinner reservations. I was trying to get into Akershus and/or Cinderellas royal table. Which would be better for characters etc?

CRT is the "ultimate" for Princess meeting,but is HARD to book.

Akershus is a nice Princess "experience" though.

Both of those serve "Princess" meals meaning that you will meet only princesses. There are other meals where you can meet different characters. Crystal Palace (MK) and Tusker House (AK) generally get good reviews. Search these boards for "Character Dining" for more in depth explanations. We liked Tusker House not only for the characters but the food was good too. It is a buffet and there is a great variety of choices. Cheers!!

I've done them all at one point or another. They all have their good points. I'm taking my daughter for the first time in September. I went with Akershus because it was only 1 Dining Plan credit and not as hard to book. When we take her back for her birthday in July 2016, I'm going to try like the devil to get CRT for lunch. If you happen to really like Cinderella, 1900 Park Faire's dinner is good. The interaction with Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters was outstanding! I'm doing all character buffet meals this time for our 7 day trip (which I normally don't, but given we are bringing a 2 year old this time it seemed like the wiseest option). I hope you have a great time and let us know how it goes!

Hi and thanks. We have four children ages 2 to 8 so it may be a bit hectic but I am really looking forward to it. Not having much luck with reservations but I will keep trying hoping for some cancellations.

Generally, the actual characters are similar as is the character interaction. While the food is different, they are both decent meals.

1900 Park Fare is also a good option if one or more of your children are into Cinderella.

Hi and Thanks, yes it sure seems like the reservations are difficult to get. I am staring late and we are staying out of the park. Hopefully I can get lucky with a cancellation.

We did both CRT and Akershus and liked them both. It's fun to experience being in the castle, though I'm not sure it's worth the price. By the way our CRT ADR I scored just a month before our trip, and it was for 7:20am!

Thanks for the reply. So there is hope for late bookings. We are leaving next weekend so I'm hoping for last minute cancellations.
