I'd like to hear some thoughts on the two princess character breakfasts. When I described them to my 9 yr old dd (still very princess obsessed princess: ), she said she'd rather go to the storybook breakfast in Epcot.

How do the two breakfasts compare? Is the Epcot one nice? Is it easy to get PS?

It's kind of pricey, but would you recommend trying to do both? Or is that too much?

Hi!

We went in '03 when my DD's were 7 and 9...now they're 9 and 11 and want to eat in the castle again!! I call tomorrow!!! Anyway, they loved the whole castle atmosphere and it was really special to them. We didn't do the Epcot one, but I'm sure it's fun too. If she wants to do the Epcot one, I'd go for it but probably wouldn't do both. Have fun!!!

I've attended both with my children and definitely feel that Cinderella's is better. The castle can hold less people at a time, and therefore the princesses can spend more time at each table. When we ate at the Epcot one last year, most of the Princesses really RUSHED, saying "standard" lines to my children and quickly leaving. The princesses at the Castle really talked to my kids, and didn't seem as rushed. We also thought the food was better at the castle. But, if I couldn't get Cindy's reservations, I wouldn't hesitate to go the Storybook breakfast again, just to provide my kids with easy access to a variety of princesses.

We did Cinderella's breakfast a few years ago and it was pure magic--- great character interaction, excellent service, good quality food, terrific atmosphere.

We did the Storybook Breakfast this past November and will never do it again --- B list "princesses"; many more guests per character; bad food; no atmosphere to speak of

I also asked my DD 8 which breakfast she wanted to attend, I went online, showed her pictures, etc etc. She really wanted to do the Princess Storybook, well as much as I tried to talk her into the Castle, she really wanted the Princess Aurora, so to Norway we went!! DH and I really enjoyed the food, as much as we wanted, always hot. DD loved the cinnamon rolls, and we saw Belle (one of her favs) Mulan (a very strong character!!) Jasmine, Snow White (she still amazes me!) and Aurora!!

I think I was more disappointed than DD, on our last day, I walked up to the Castle and asked about cancellations, it seemed like they would accomadate us, but dd didnt want to eat in hte castle at that time, she wanted to ride the rides - - go figure!!!

Next time, I'm booking both, Norway for her, CRT for me!! princess:

um Zippy, "b" list? That's harsh if you ask me!

I was so impressed with how Snow White played her part, to perfection!! Belle came to our table, and really talked to dd about books, they had lots in common, dont know about you, but dd used to watch Belle over and over, it drove me crazy!! my DD thinks more of Aurora than Cinderella...

To each his own...

as it should be...

every experience is different, maybe it has to do with your expectations? :confused3 I was very happy with the service and attention we received - our waitress was quite attentative too, when we told dd the waitress was from Norway, my dd wanted to know all about it!! and the waitress talked and answered and interacted with dd....

We LOVED the PSB in Norway when we went in May. The Princesses were relaxed, took their time at each table, beautiful, and very friendly. We were 5 adults and they gave us all the time we wanted, and sat and talked with the children around us.

Good food, nice atmosphere - would def do again =)

We've done both of the Princess Breakies and like the Epcot one better. I'm not even sure why. The food is about the same (although I like the cinnimon rolls in Epcot better than the pasteries in MK), the Princess interactions seemed exactly the same, and to me the inside of the buildings both felt like castles. I guess maybe we like the PSB better because it feels "bigger". I know there were the same amount of Princesses, but in Epcot the room was bigger and it took longer for the girls to come around. The more time it took for them to come around the more I got to enjoy the look of anticipation on my baby girls face. At CRT we had the first seating, sat by the windows, and were visited by all the princesses practically before the hot food was served, it just didn't feel like as big of a deal.

Just my opinion of course, both were fun!!

Shelly

Hey, thanks for the variety of opinions!

I think I'm like Eeyore45, I want to do Cinderella's for me so I might just go ahead and try to book both -- that way if we don't get one, hopefully we'll have the other.

As far as princesses go, my daughter shifts favorites all the time. Right now she's hooked on Mulan, but that could very well change by June :p

I can't really offer any advice, since we haven't done either yet.

We are doing PSB in April though, so I am glad it earned positive reviews from many of you.

CRT always seemed much more of a cattle call. We've done both and I prefer PSB over CRT. The food was a step above (yummy potatos) and I didn't feel like the other tables were on top of one another like CRT.

Just my opinion but because there is less seating available at CRT and therefore harder to get, it gives the impression that CRT is better than PSB and I don't think so.

That said, I booked both for our trip in April. I love character meals because I won't stand in line for an autograph!

We've done both. We really enjoyed the PSB more. The princesses spent more time with us at PSB, and my dd's really love Jasmine and Mulan. My older dd dressed in her Jasmine costume and the princess Jasmine spent extra time with her and showed her how to pose for the pictures...so they "matched." My younger dd was dressed as Belle (in the blue dress) and the princess Belle was delightful with her. Snow White was also amazing.

My girls really love strawberries, and the fruit they brought only had a couple in the bowl. When the waiter saw they were picking out only strawberries, he brought a big bowl of strawberries for each of them (and extra cinnamon rolls). He was very nice.

The castle for us was a disappointment. Bad table, cold unfriendly waiter and quick interaction with princesses. I'm glad we did it, but if we go again, I'll insist on a better table.

One idea is doing PSB, and saving the the castle for lunch. No princesses at lunch, but you get to experience the place. We did see Cindy and Fairy Godmother in the lobby before lunch (it was GREAT), but there are no guarantees they'll be there at lunch. Or go for both breakfasts and then decide! That's what I did and I'm glad I did because everyone seems to have a different experience!

We've done both also and enjoyed both PSB and CRT - however when I asked DD to pick one for our up coming trip in May CRT won hands down! She loves eating in the castle - we have always done an early PS and have never felt rushed and had plenty of time with the princesses - I think I love CRT as much as DD! :flower:

We booked both last Sept but had to cancel CRT due to Hurricane Jeanne (postponed our trip a day). My dd4 is a MAJOR princess lover to so we had to do everything relating to princesses (well, I drew the line at the $200 Aurora thing). So we went to PSB in Norway. We really enjoyed it. We saw Belle, Mulan, Mary Poppins, Jasmine & Snow White. We were disappointed we didn't see Aurora. The princesses were pretty quick with us, but dd4 was very tongue tied when the princesses came up!! :) The food was fine, nothing to write home about, but the service was great, they always gave us more of what we wanted & it was nice to sit & relax during a meal.
Now, let me just say this, after our breakfast we continued thru the WS & saw ALL the same princesses at their countries & NO ONE was around them so we got even more time. Snow White remembered us (dd4 had a princess GOH badge) & gave dd4 a huge hug & we took more pics. Let's see, Snow White was in Germany, Mulan was in China, Belle was in France, Jasmine was in Morocco & Mary Poppins was in UK. So I felt kind of bummed that we spent a small fortune on breakfast JUST for the princesses & we could have just as easily seen them in WS. But it is better to be safe then sorry!
We'll probably book both again if dd is still in to princesses next trip!!

But one thing to remember about seeing them in their home country is that the poster went in Sept(as did I) and the crowds are light. With the hurricane season endured last year, the crowds were almost nonexistant.

It was great for those of us who dodged them. We went between storms. We went down a day early and had to leave a day early as well...

We went to Cindy's on 2/8 and it was nice for my daughter who is 5 and she was excited because she got to wear her princess dress and everything. But later on after it was over and we had eaten she said she perferred Chef Mickeys because she could serve herself like a BIG GIRL. She said she didn't like waiting for her food. Now the food was good but nothing compared to CM.
