Princess Caitlin pre trip August '10 costarring dawnbu40

I just read on the Dis Budget Board that Little Debbie's website is running a travel contest inconjuction with Holiday Inn and Air Tran. If you register for the contest Air Tran sends you a code for $10 off your next purchase. :) Since we are flying AT I signed up myself and my mom (one code per household) and got a combined $20 credit from Air Tran :cool1:
This was enough to pay for our 3 "pre-selected seats" on our flight home.( I had already selected our seats for the trip there but hadn't for our way home) Just wanted to share in case any of you are using Air Tran in the near future. **I didn't pay attention to how long the codes are good for though**

You gotta love that....I always pre-book our seats....I like being close to the front of the plane!!!

I like pre-booking seats too, I just wish they didn't charge for that! The plane looked pretty full too so I'm glad I didn't wait or we might not have been seated together

Have breakfast at POP

Go to Rope Drop at DHS
I know that DHS rope drop isn't that special but I do love hearing Lights, Camera, ACTION!:lmao:

I will ride TOT & RNR while my mom does the TSM dash to get fast passes and we will meet at TSM after I am done
I personally love TSM just because it makes the TOT & RNR lines so much shorter!

Watch the Little Mermaid

The go to the Animation Building and see the characters there
I am really hoping the UP! characters will still be there

at 1130 go watch Beauty & the Beast
I am excited to see this with my grandma

12 lunch at Pizza Planet
The reviews on this CS are 50/50 I hear some bad and some good so hopefully we go on a good day :lmao:

1230 Muppet Vision
Ugh:sad2: this show needs to be updated

After Muppet Vision go ride TSM again hopefully

Explore One Man's Dream
I love One Man's Dream I think it is so interesting to learn about Walt Disney and I love the movie at the end

Ride the Great Movie Ride
One of my favorites :thumbsup2 I believe this is a great tribute to movies that have made a huge impact on the industry!

and tonight will be the night of the D23 Birthday Party at the Magic Kingdom hopefully we will be able to get tickets!

ooh! Looks like a fun day you gals have planned. :thumbsup2 I'm excited to bring my little one to go see Beauty and the Beast this time around. None of us have seen it but I keep hearing such good things about the show. Hopefully it won't be so crowded that you'll be able to go on all our rides at least twice!

B&B is so good! Every time I have seen it I have really enjoyed it!

I am hoping as of right now the crowd predictions are in our favor!

Sounds like a plan!

But no Indy?
And do you guys do the characters scattered throughout (Cars, Buzz & Woody, Monsters Inc., etc.)?

And you may want to consider Mama Melrose over Pizza Planet.
We tried it last time and it's now our favorite restaurant in DHS!!

We have done Indy a few times (I've been in it twice!)so it's not a must do for us HOWEVER we haven't done it since Caitlin has been old enough to volunteer. We may have to consider that since she had so much fun being in the Backlot Tour movie in May!

We stop for any and all characters :rotfl: Caitlin loves getting pics with em all including her childhood pals the Power Rangers :rotfl:

We have done Mama's a couple times and it is one of Caitlin's WDW faves! We had originally wanted to do the Brown Derby, since my mom has never been there, BUT the party includes dinner and a dessert party so we want to eat light. If we can't get party tickets we will make adrs somewhere.

Makes sense!
I figured you had it all covered.
Your mom will be in good hands with you and Caitlin guiding her!

Great day 3 plans sounds like you all have all the basics covered . I would also recommend somewhere other than Pizza Planet , we really didn't care for this , the pizza wasn't very good and thought you could find better outside the parks (IMO). I don't care for any of the Studio's CS but on our next trip we are going to try out Starring Rolls Cafe , don't know if you have checked it out before but they are suppose to serve very yummy sandwiches & sweet treats .

By the way we haven't booked our trip yet , waiting on the money to do so but as of now we are going September 16 - September 22 & staying at the Wilderness Lodge , gonna do a Pre-trip report once we have it on the books , which should be soon :)

With all the bad reviews of Pizza Planet we may just take the boat over to the Beach Club and eat at Beaches and Cream.

THe Wilderness Lodge! Wow that's awesome! :cool1: We'll look forward to your PTR!

D23 announced the details today for the First Anniversary Party :woohoo: The ticket price is higher than I hoped for but we are still so excited! Since we live in Michigan we joined thinking we'd never get to attend any of the D23 events so since this overlaps our vacation it is a real treat and we are willing to splurge ;) Here's the info from the press release.....

D23's First Anniversary Party at Walt Disney World: Friday, March 5, 2010

After checking in at the Magic Kingdom, guests will have free time to enjoy the park's attractions and shows at their own pace. In the evening, attendees will enjoy one of two private dinners inside the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon, where piano music will fill the air and you'll take a look back at D23's first fun-filled year. Awaiting guests will be a mouth-watering buffet dinner of gourmet barbecue offerings, from slow smoked short rib of beef served on mesquite polenta to jalapeno cheddar cheese corn bread and much more!

Following dinner, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy more attractions or view the majestic fireworks spectacular, Wishes. Then, as the Magic Kingdom is closing to the general public, D23 Members and their guests will be escorted into Mickey's PhilharMagic for an exclusive viewing of this 3-D extravaganza, which combines colorful animation and soaring music to create a dazzling spectacle. Afterwards, Walt Disney Imagineering will present insider details about the recently announced Fantasyland Forest expansion project for the Magic Kingdom.

And to cap the night's celebration, guests will partake in a sumptuous dessert buffet in Fantasyland, where they will be able to enjoy a private party with fellow D23 Members, riding several of the park's signature attractions that recall the splendor and nostalgia of some of Walt Disney's most famous animated classics. And at our members' request, guests will mix and mingle with beloved, classic Disney characters, as well as a few friends you may not have seen strolling through the park in a while!

Every guest will also receive a special, limited-edition commemorative pin in honor of D23's first anniversary, the perfect gift to remember this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Ooh, that looks like a fun party! It'll be nice to be in the park after it closes to the public too! oh, and I second the recommendation to Starring Rolls Cafe. We didn't eat lunch there but got some nice pastries for breakfast one morning. I've also seen pics of their cupcakes and they look AMAZING. I am definitely going to try one of those in May!

Whooo-Hooooo on D23's first anniversary party!!!!!!!

We are really excited about the party! We'll be really disappointed if we don't get tickets!

I guess we are going to have to grab a snack at Starring Rolls since it's getting such good reviews! :) Another place with yummy cupcakes is the cs at the Contemporary-the Contempo Cafe! :thumbsup2
