I was just using Boston and NY as examples of two marathons with requirements
I lived in Boston all my life until moving south and I ran several other races instead of the one in my city. It baffled my family who refused to come watch me.
I think the marathon training I use is 18 weeks long. I went from total couch potato who couldn't finish one mile when I started my very first training to someone who could run 10 miles without stopping a few months later. It was awesome. Except now I'm back at stage one couch potato (who occasionally waddles through an event) and trying to get back into it

Fancy finishes can come later
I'm pretty new to this part of DIS, but as you can see, everyone here is very friendly!
Needless to say, I haven't been able to do much at all this week.

I went to the store this morning to pick up a couple birthday presents for some parties DS has this weekend, and am totally worn out. I really hope I'm up for Komen.
and
so much! I'm so ready to get moving!!
Way to go!
