You can go to disneycruise.com web site and click on reservations. then select get quote. Follow the links, putting in dates, number of people, type of room, etc. You will get a quote from Disney on the actual cost. You can select travel protection, and air fare through them and also transfers from the airport and back if you want. This will give you a good idea of what it will cost you less graduities and other things as spa's, drinks and of course gifts.
Coming from NY, you might want to try to schedule your own airplane reservations. Disney tends to be higher. There tends to be discount flights all the time but prices are going up as just announced nation wide by many airlines.
Hope this helps. Good luck in the planning. We are going on our first Disney cruise on the 4 day Wonder, October 13th. We will be in a Cat 4, room 8554 with 4 adults and one 9 yr old. then onto DVC Wilderness Villas for 3 more days of magic. Decided to use Disney transfers from airport to cruise ship and then to WLV's after cruise.
If you are planning on this July, you might be out of luck for a category 4. We are travelling in November and all the category 4 rooms are already booked. You never know, but I'd call the travel agent asap to see what is still available.(FYI, the category 4 is not much different than the 6 and 5....just enough extra floor space for a murphy bed to flip from the wall in front of the verandah door. With only a party of 4, you could think about one of the other categories.)
