Priceline

I've used Priceline in the past for hotels with great success, but never in Orlando. We need one night off-site before checking into OKW...we aren't even going to any parks, so we don't even need to be that close to WDW. We will be shopping the Disney outlets.

What areas of Orlando should I pick when I do Priceline? How many stars to do recommend as a minimum? What's the lowest price you've gotten for a decent hotel?

We often reserve one night with Priceline (usually the night before we check into our DVC resort) and have had great success. We always bid for a 3* property in the WDW Vicinity zone and have never had to bid more than $35.00. We have gotten the Sheraton Safari, The Hotel Royal Plaza (one of the DTD hotels), The Renaissance Worldgate and the Hyatt Orlando (we've gotten this one 4 times). We always bid 3* because I feel you are taking chances with anything lower in that area.

We've also bid for a 3* in the Universal area and got the Wyndham Orlando for $40 per night (a few years ago).
