Okey dokey guys.....I'm coming to you car rental gurus. I need to rent a car at W Palm Beach International, drive to Vero Beach, then over to WDW and return the car there...either in the WDW/DTD area or right at MCO, and then take DME to BWV.
I have been checking out various sites, and they are all nasty expensive. Not traveling until Sept 1, so I do have plenty of time.
My question?? Is there anything I need to know, beforehand, about using Priceline? I'm not planning on using the 'name your own price' feature. But, I did a 'dry run' yesterday and got a price that was a lot less than the official rental sites. Just wasn't sure if there was anything I needed to watch out for before booking with them.
Any thoughts?

I recently rented a car at SFO through Priceline using the name your own price feature and saved half off the cheapest price I could find using other discounts (rental was through Avis). Everything worked out well. Just make sure you set up a Priceline account and sign in before using it so you will easily be able to retrieve your reservation later.

THanks. Any thoughts on when I should do that??? I hate waiting until just before I travel, but not sure if doing it sooner vs later is a good idea.

As long as you're not using a non-refundable method of reserving a car (ex: not using a prepaid method such as bidding on Priceline), it doesn't hurt to make a reservation now and keep checking to see if the price goes down. If it does, you can make a new reservation and cancel the old one with no penalty.
