Priceline Express Deals

did you have to call HW to get the Disney ressie number?
Nope. On the confirmation page they list both the Hotwire Itinerary number and the Hotel Confirmation number. Just plug the Hotel Confirmation number into MDE. Easy, peasy. (It will then tell you the type of room after you’ve logged it in MDE. My last two YC ones have been water view. That might have spoiled me for that view at YC!)

sounds so much easier! The last time I had to keep calling to get my confirmation number but maybe that was because it was for the Dolphin. I think I might just take the dip! It's easy when it's for a random night, a little harder when it's six nights. :thumbsup2 ;)

Ah, that stinks. If you look at the calendar I published a few days ago I found there was a gap for Pop for the nights of the 16th - 18th, plus the 15th had jumped up to to a HotRate of $160.

I just tried moving the date window around and could get the 43% off Pop deals to show up all the way to the 14th - looks like Saturday and Sunday night have gone missing now. (Pop isn't even on Disney's site for those dates.)

I suppose you could think about a split stay Pop, then CSR using the HW deals so you get at least some time in there, but if CSR is no good for you then I'd just keep checking. Sometimes these deals come and go a few times - although that happens more with Priceline than HW.

I wish Hotwire would give me a way to book as many cheap nights as are available, and then add on a couple less-cheap days to fill out my time, and have it all on one reservation. I can get March 10-14 for $109/night, so it would just be 2 nights at the higher rate. Maybe I’ll do a chat and ask if I can—all they can say is no, right?

Editing to add: yes, I can book 10-14 and add 2 nights.

People used to report that on Priceline, they would get offers for additional days after booking a hidden deal at the rate they booked plus some add-on fee per night ($10 or $25?) Haven't heard that in awhile, though.
Not sure if it ever existed on Hotwire.

Now I’m sure that Hotwire hates me 😆😆 Trying to do the Mar 10-14 booking, with the HWLOVE10 code in the app, and it’s either timing out adding the code, or not letting the payment go through because the code has been used before (no, it hasn’t) and I’ve been on help chat forever and they can’t fix it, so they were going to give me credit that can be used, but they have to verify the rate I’m getting, and that was almost a half hour ago 🤦‍♀️

Update: I’ve given up on the whole thing, Hotwire is not helping me and saving money isn’t worth the stress and hassle. They closed my conversation without actually resolving the issue.

In case you want to try again, you might want to check if your app needs updating. I was having issues a couple of days ago and then realized my Hotwire app needed updating. After taking care of that, it worked.

When we were actually at YC a couple of weeks ago, I got a push notification from Hotwire asking if I wanted to extend my stay at the same rate I had purchased. Orlando was 75 and sunny and home had an impending major snow storm, and somehow I didn’t take Hotwire up on it and went home anyway. 😉

The code isn't working for me either

Anyone looking for Movies deals in the end of March drop, note that it's guest rating just increased from 4.2 to 4.3.
That puts it in the same basket as AS Sports and AoA, which both also are 3-star resorts with 4.3-guest ratings.
(So, Music is the only 3*, 4.2-guest resort right now.)

You can still differentiate Movies from AoA by comparing sub-amenity ratings. (Sports is closed, so a moot point now.)

EDIT: Oddly enough, it can take a day or three for Hotwire's resort page to sync up with the deals pages. So, you may see Movies as a 4.2-guest hotel for now until that happens.

I just managed to get a Hotwire deal for Yacht Club (water view) for 3/2-3/7 for $326 after fees, taxes and a 10% off coupon. Almost $100pn cheaper than my AP rate. Thanks to everyone for the information on coupons and how to identify the specific hotels. The seconds between pressing confirm and the actual hotel showing up were nerve-wracking, but it was worth it in the end!

Edit: The advertised rate is $283pn in the app. So the taxes and fees are pretty hefty even with a 10% off coupon. I got the coupon from coupons.businessinsider.com

Did you have to call? I found March 22-26 @$88 a night, but the 21 & 27 @$102. Should I reserve all three and then combine?

I never actually got to book due to technical issues and zero desire to keep dealing with it. But I believe the way that it would’ve worked, according to the person I chatted with on the app, was book the cheap days, and then you can add days to that reservation, before and/or after. Not sure what price the additional days will come up as.

Thanks will give it a try!!
