Priceline Express Deals

Only if you need DME. Otherwise, you can just add them at the hotel with no fees for Priceline or Hotwire. At least this is what we've always done since we are local and dont need DME. I've never bothered to call and get them added ahead of time. So if you do need DME then you'll have to compare is it cheaper to pay the fees/rent a car/buy directly from WDW?
If I wait to add them at the front desk, I can’t do fast passes in advance for them right?

Could there be some issue with fastpasses at 60 days if you are not local and your children are not on your reservation yet? That's the only other issue I can think that this might cause.
I posted the above question at the same time. We aren’t local, but I thought you could only do a 60 day fast pass selection if you are staying in a Disney hotel (or an off site that gives you those privileges). Maybe I’m wrong?

You're right -- I think it would cause problems not to have everyone on your reservation for 60-day fastpasses.

So is the general consensus of those on this forum that if booking for 2 adults and 2 kids that I should definitely not bother to check Priceline. And for Hotwire, I should make sure that I have the two kids added on and be prepared for extra fees?
I may have just freed up some time in my day if so :)
if you need DME, yes.

I havent made FP since October 2019 but as long as someone in the party has the 60 day FP perk , you can book for anyone that is a friend on your MDE account. I've done this more times than I can count.
But everyone would need to have tickets or an AP to do that, right?

Hey! New here and need help! Is the 3 star an All Star? I am comparing it and it looks like it might be. Still trying to figure this out! Thanks for any help!
Hi! On Priceline, the only 3* resorts in Bonnet Creek are the All-Stars, Art of Animation and Pop.

Right now, AoA is the only 3* 8-guest resort with 100 reviews. (It's actually 142 reviews right now.)
$109 is a pretty sweet deal for AoA, can I ask what date you saw that for?

We are seriously considering renting a car (one way, drop off at the Dolphin) which eliminates our need for the DME. That way, we can do our grocery stop and call it a day. I’ll add the kids when we get to the resort.
You could

Actually, if only one person's name is the reservation and your tickets are linked on MDX, you should be able to get FP+ at 60 days for the whole family. My wife reserved the Dolphin under just her name. We tried to add my name and the kids to the room and the Dolphin (Marriott) wanted to charge us a different rate. We bought tickets and got FP+ at 60 days for the whole family. My wife is still the only name on the hotel reservation.

The real problem with getting your whole family on the reservation is just MDE.

Thanks! I am looking at March 29-April 4, stuff opened up at my work and a last minute trip sounds fun!

No,there shouldn't be. I've been a Shades of Green guest and booked for my family and two other families traveling with us (they were renting a house off-site) at the early booking window.
The main issue I ran into is that if myself, DH or one of my kids was not on the FP, my friends couldn't book that FP. So as long as at least 1 parent is riding with the kids, should be fine :)

What happens when your bed choice is K or 2 Q and you show up with 4 to find out you've been assigned a K room?

I think you'd just have to ask them to be reassigned to a 2 queen room or ask for an air mattress.

Can anyone help me identify the 3-star Disney resort with a regular room rate of $454 showing a $99 hot rate?

The bed choice was either "Hotel chooses bed type" or "Standard Room" with 2 full beds.

Thanks in advance!

I think someone answered this but yes, everyone would need tickets but then again, everyone would need tickets to book FP even if they are on the reservation.

That should/could be ASMusic. Look at the tab that says location and see how far everything is away that will give you a better idea. Someone correct me but I think it would be 1.3 miles from AK.

Do you think it is a standard room with the $454 rate or a larger room? Should I let the hotel select the room type?

The location was exactly what you said. It is 1.3 miles from AK.

Price has nothing to do with type of room you will get. They typically show the original price as price for the most expensive room type but the discount offer is for the cheapest room type. Exceptions happen but are rare.
