I’m looking for 2 car rentals this summer and best rates were found through Autoslash- rates were pay later with Priceline (one with Hertz and the other Alamo).

I know people use Autoslash but any experience with Priceline pay later (no credit card needed to reserve).

Thanks

I'd be leery of going through two layers of not-the-rental agency. Have you tried direct through Autoslash?

Only ones listed on Autoslash through locations were through Priceline. Think I’ll search on my own- I was leery too!

Thanks

If you're looking to go through Alamo I would suggest signing up for their Insiders program and then looking for discount codes/coupons to add when looking to book that reservation. I use a combination of codes and end up with really good prices and better than the ones that Autoslash tends to offer. Also with Alamo you can check in online and then pre-register your DL # and credit card info and are able to skip the counter and it's a real time saver as you don't have to wait in line and then deal with the sales rep at the counter.

My issue is the one is hertz and my town only has Hertz and Enterprise. It’s $60 less through the Autoslash/Priceline than booking on my own using AAA discount (I checked all I qualified for and even Costco). Think I’ll just keep checking but forgo the Autoslash/Priceline as fine print states may not include one way drop off fee (this is for one way rental).

Thanks again!

I've done this many times with no problem, highly recommend it. Also recommend rechecking daily as prices fluctuate and even though I've registered for Autoslash's auto-alert for lower prices, I often find the price has decreased with no alert. (Just knocked an additional $60 off a July rental at PIT.) Priceline rentals through Autoslash are lower than Priceline direct, in my experience.
