Priceline Anyone?

I have thought about using Princeline for car rental from Savannah, Ga. Do they let you pick the type of car you want and where you want to pick it up from? We want to rent a convertible for our upcoming trip. Can anyone help me?

Yes you can pick which car you want to bid for. The only thing is, if you price wasn't accepted you can't bid on that car type again for 7 days.

They will assign whoever accepts your bid. You have no choice of the rental company.
They use the "BIG" four. Avis, National, Alamo, and I forgot the fourth. It is listed on their website. I have used them twice and have been very pleased.

I highly recommend you visit www.biddingfortravel.com They have people who have posted their bids. I have bid for a convertible in Orlando in the past, but it has never been accepted. (I was not willing to bid more than I would pay for a normal midsize) I have rented convertibles in Savannah and there are NOT a lot of options.

I checked with Priceline and Hotwire but I soon discovered that the reservation I made last Oct. with National is best deal all around. Hotwire couldn't give me the car I wanted near me. Priceline estimated that only a bid higher than what I was already paying would be accepted. We want a convertible. With the DC rate it work out to about $42.00 per day taxes included. So I will use it. Thanks again for your advice.
