Hello!

I am really contemplating trying Priceline. It seems as far as the 3 star hotels, the Sheraton Safari and Radisson Worldgate come up the most, with the occasional appearance of the Best Western LBV. I have read some reviews and it seems all three places sound decent. Can anyone give me some general advice about these three places? Are they pretty decent?

Also, do I dare go below a 3 star?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks!

Both sites will help you out with Priceline, especially for the first time. They'll also tell you what people have gotten for winning bids, which will give you a starting point for your bid. These sites also have reviews.

I've never bid on anything less than a 3* in the WDW area, but have gotten some good deals. Past wins (don't include tax & svc. chg.):
Wyndham I-Drive $34
Crowne Plaza MCO $50
Radisson Worldgate $42

HTH!!!! :smooth:

Hi travelin' tigger!

I have been 'lurking' quite a bit on both of those sites.

So have you stayed at both the Radisson Worldgate and the Sheraton Safari? If so, what was your impression of both places?

Thanks again for your advice!

The Sheraton Safari I stayed at thru Starwood points and the location was great (just outside DTD). The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy.

The Radisson Worldgate also has a great location - only minutes from AK via Sherberth Rd. Also, clean rooms and SelectComfort beds.

SS definitely has the better pool with a great slide. Would stay at both again!!! :wave2:

I have actually stayed at all 3 of the 3* hotels you mentioned from Priceline. Sheraton Safari was our favorite with the Best Western next and the Radisson last. Radisson isnt nasty or anything but just average in our opinion. Good location to take the back road though

I would not go below 3*

We would be extremely pleased to get either the Best Western or Sheraton Safari, although I know there is no way to control which hotel we get. I guess I would lean towards the Best Western only because of its proximity to Downtown Disney.

Last August we also recived the Doubletree Villas Maingate as a 3* WDW zone for $39. We loved it there.

In March of 2004 we got the Sheraton Safari via priceline. We actually won 2 rooms. I thought this hotel was very clean and comfortable. The beds were awesome!! The pool was a bit cold, that would be my only complaint. The location was literally just 2-3 minutes to DTD.

I can't remember the exact price but it was the mid $30/nt. I wanna say something like $36/nt. I know we had gotten an incredible deal.

The Sheraton seems to go for anywhere from $34 into the low $40 range a night. I guess I am a little nervous to try Priceline, but all of you seem to have had a fairly favorable experience. :)

I cerntainly appreciate the insight.

Go for it....We have had great experience with both the Worldgate and Sheraton as 3 star...It really is a no lose deal for the money...Ted

I think the Sheraton Safari was renovating most of their rooms this past fall, so everything there should be nice and new. The beds there are the "sweet sleeper" type---you may have a hard time waking up in the morning, 'cause they're so comfy!
