When have the past year's price increases for park admission/APs etc usually taken place? I can remember October 1 sticking in my mind. Is there usually warning of the increase or do they just surprise us??

Last September, literally days before we were to leave, the price hike rumors came out. With only 2 or 3 days warning, I ran to my TDS and bought my ticket. Mickey

Am I confused? Didn't Disney just have a price increase a few months ago? Do you really think that there will be another one?

I was there late May and got my passes right before they increased the ticket prices. It was somewhere around the first few days of June. The prices did not go up much if I remember correctly so they could always raise them again.

There is no pattern to Disney increasing prices. They do it when they feel like it.

The last increase was done in June when they raised the gate prices (but not advance purchase prices) of most of their tickets.

Prior to that, the last across the board increase came in September 2002. And before that was January 2001.

We are going in December and planning on getting our AP shortly before December. I do think that the June increase also raised the AP price....I could be wrong...but I thought they did. That's why I'm surprised to think that with a raise in June they would raise again before December. But I'm not positive...

As others have said you never know when. If another is coming this year though I would bet it comes before Thanksgiving. Disney likes to increase prices right before the Thanksgiving/Christmas crowds in many years in the past. HOWEVER, as others have said you never know.

AP's did not go up in June. Gate prices on all other Disney major park tickets tickets did.

Don't ever be surprised at anything Disney does. Just because there was a price increase in June doesn't mean you can't/won't have another one before the year is out. The odds are against it since they have already raised the gate prices twice in the past year (June '03 and Sept '02) but never say never!

We were also within days of a trip last fall when the September pricing increases occurred. Speaking from experience, I can offer one bit of advise. When Disney does announce price increases, most of the Internet ticket brokers are able to hold the old prices for a week or two as their inventory dictates.

We purchased from Florida Orlando Tickets just as the price increases were announced. I followed their web site for at least two weeks as they proclaimed "get them now before prices go up."
