I saw on another website that the price of Dasani had gone up to $2.50. Granted, it's been a number of years since they've raised the price, but I can't find confirmation on any other websites.

Did the price really go up?

I actually thought it was more than $2.50!

The cost of a bottle of water at Disney World, whether it be $2 or $2.50 is a great deal better than going to a sporting event and having to buy a bottle. It's usually about $4.

One of the other sites that posted the increase provided shots of menus showing the change, so it appears to be true. They then also proceeded to have a heated debate about whether the cost had been at 2.50 before. (And apparently it was back in 2004 or 2005 then dropped to 2.00) The same menus also showed a .10 increase in fountain drinks I believe.

water and soda was $2.50 years ago, then it dropped down to $2 in SOME places then went $2 standard

2.50 huh? Still cheaper than the airport!

Aha! Thank you. I was beginning to think I was going insane, since no one else remembered it ever being $2.

And thank you both for the background detail!

I don't know about the Dasani, but there is a price increase on the fries, $0.44 (after tax).

We bought water a few times during our visit from January 10th to the 16th. Hubby did the actual paying for some, and I did at least once. The last one purchased was only $2.00 for the bottle (I know this for sure, because I remember thinking it was nice that I didn't have to dig out any change).....will have to ask DH what he paid for the others.
