I was fortunate enough to see Reagan speak at my college, BGSU, in 1984. Rest in Peace.

he gave my hubby's ship, the merrill, the presidential unit citation. I remember him and his wife as good people. I was young, but I remember the say no to drugs and the wall comming down I believe because of him. I have lost the peace of wall my sis brought home from her high school trip.

I feel so bad.... he was a GREAT guy!

Very sad. I loved Ronald Reagan. If you haven't read his autobiography, you should.

I don't recall a president before him or since that had or has his sense of humor, even in some very trying times.

as the news plays the fireworks for the DDAY on tv, and they are talking about him... just is to much for me...

This is so sad. I went to his inaguration with my dad for his second term.

I too loved President Reagan. We keep a framed picture of him on a prominent place on our kitchen desk. He retored pride in America.

Condolences to the family. Agree or disagree with him, you always knew he put his heart into his work. He will be missed.

Exactly! And at a time when we needed it most. It's funny how President Reagan, Rambo and Springsteen's Born In The USA all seemed to bring pride back into the nation at the same time, although the Springsteen song really isn't a patriotic song, more of an "apology", if you will.

With all that has happened to us during 9/11 and during this most recent war, we need someone like Ronald Reagan in the Oval Office today, unfortunately, we don't have that same type of leader and I don't see anyone capable of stepping up to the plate.

That's so sad. We were just talking about him in class.

Godspeed Mr. President, Rest In Peace. Comfort and blessings to the family.

:( Thank you for your service to and love for your Country. May you Rest In Peace. Blessings to his beloved Nancy and family.

Rest in Peace, Mr. President! I Salute You!

Prayers for those he left behind.

What a great tribute Dan. Thank you so much for posting it. Reagan was one of Chris' (my DBF) heroes and I know he was quite distraught at the news.

:( At least he is at peace now. My heart goes out to Nancy and his children and the rest of his friends and family. A truly great man has been lost.

Sad. He was in office when I was born. Mom's always talking about what a great man he was.
RIP. And God Bless his family.
