Have any DIS Brides had their bouquets preserved? Is this something DFTW can arrange?

TIA! :bride:

i am doing mine through keepsake floral. they pick your bouquet up from disney floral on the next business day after your wedding (for wishes weddings, for intimate weddings they'll pick it up from your resort). they are really easy to work with and offer many options. they were referred to me by disney floral. hth!

Thanks so much for the info - I was hoping that there would be a nice easy solution!

Your day is getting so close - I hope that things are going a little bit smoother for you :goodvibes

Thanks again!

I used keepsake floral for my Nov. 2005 wedding. They did a wonderful job. I was glad I did it because Disney did such a great job on my flowers. Look at keepsake floral's website because they have some neat ideas of other things to add to your keepsake. I put in our place cards and a few other items as well. You can do so many different things.

Have fun planning!

I was looking on Keepsake's website and I really like the idea of adding some other wedding elements (in addition to the flowers of course!). I'm so glad to hear that you're happy with how they did that for you. I'd love to see pics too if you have any.

Thanks! :goodvibes

First, Wow! This is the first time I have posted a picture and it worked!!! :cool1:

Now on to the real topic. Here is a picture of my Keepsake. I kept it simple and low cost. I did the basics. I gave the florist all the items at the wedding to put with my flowers so I didn't have to send anything to them. I am not sure if you still do or not but I got a few upgrades for being a Disney Bride. There website tells you about them I believe.

Hope this helps.

Thank you so much Luvndisney & wdwcp93tlt for posting those beautiful photos! It's so nice to see real bouquet arrangements that look even better than Keepsake's website! :cloud9:

Any UK brides have any suggestions for this?

Keepsake floral looks great, but it says the process takes 2-3 weeks, by which time we'd be back in the UK.

On the other hand, we would get the flowers back to the UK alive (or in one piece I would think!)

I'm actually toying with the idea of silk flowers, as we could then use them for our MK Photoshoot even if it's a few days later and use them at our UK reception.
Do Disney only do certain flowers in silk though, as I have my heart set on black magic roses and stephanosis? I can't see any information relating to fake flowers on the Disney Florist website, although pehaps it's just me.....

I'm going to try and go with silk flowers as I want them for the mk session and we are having a blessing here in the uk once we return and I get to keep them forever that way!! I'm having my planning session on 5th feb so will find out then

Fab, you'll have to let me know how you get on.....

I did silks because I wanted to keep mine forever and couldn't justify $500+ to preserve it. Mine looked fabulous and no one could tell they were silks. Now it sits in my curio with our sand vase and numerous other wedding items ! There was a slight upcharge for silks. I also had a larger cascade bouquet, so my total upcharge was $75.00. but well worth it and way less than preserving it. It also made it less worry and hassel as we honeymooned for a week after the wedding. I just placed it in a disney shopping bag and carried it on the plane with me...no problems ! You can get virtually anything in silks and you don't have to worry about "what is in season."

This is really good to know, thank you!

Can you purchase individual flowers from them as well?

I would ideally like some stephanosis to be pinned into my hair as well to tie everything in.....

I'm hoping I can get them all in silk:

I love the little pins (unless it's the centre of the flowers!) holding the stephanosis in place, they look like little pearls, but I'm not sure they could arrange these for my hair, they might stab me in the head! :lmao:

This place may sell you individual flowers. I got my MK photo session bouquet here for cheap!

Ooh thank you!
I may have to look for a UK based one as I'm sure the shipping cost will be silly, but thank you again, this is really useful!
Do Disney charge you an outside florist fee if we bring our own bouquets?
We'd have to use their floral decorations in theme park locations for the reception though right?

It seems like they shouldn't, since you're not having an actual florist come set stuff up - you're just providing your own item the way you'd provide your own sand ceremony kit or cake knife. But they do love to tack on surcharges...:rotfl:

I have heard you have to use their floral for theme park locations, and then I've heard about brides bringing in their own freeze-dried rose petals for the toss or to cover the aisle. So that may be flexible too. Again, how could they object to you bringing in what amounts to a pile of silk and plastic?

They will let you bring your own floral. The only thing I think they will be particular on is petals...I know they have to be real, not silk (biodegradable). There would be more strict at the Sunrise Terrace due to the animals and the Savannah.
