Resort: our fav Pop century with free dining upgraded
Cast of Characters: Dis grandma Barb
Dis Grandpa Edsel
Our first 5 days were by ourselves, well sorta...we were meeting up with WDW celebrations group for the 40th anniversary.
But our first day and second day we were by ourselves until late Thursday evening.
Our flight left at 8:00am and we were off to see the world again. Flight was uneventful and easy. We only had carryons (our son was bringing our big suitcase in our van on Friday) So we headed to Magical express and caught the bus, this ride was nice, I just love that Disney picks us up.
Check in went good except our room was not ready, so we went over to everything Pop to eat and shop while waiting. I wanted to check out the 40th stuff. Dis Hubby went to check on our room and they said it wasn't ready yet, but we could change rooms...hmmm I decided to check it out myself and they said its ready and you are in 0101 right next to the big wheel..what??? I was soooo happy, it was the same room we stayed in our very first time at Pop. As close to a preferred as you can get.
our view
We unpacked rested a bit and then caught the bus to Epcot. We rode test track and checked out innoventions (they sure need to do something here can you say boring??) We then went over to World showcase and walked around...Germany was the next stop for our dinner at Biergarten. First time here for us....
We had very nice table mates....
and the food was yummy...especially the pretzel bread
entertainment was wonderful
it was a fun time....I would give Biergarten a 4 out of 5 but if I was paying out of pocket we probally wouldn't do it again.
After dinner we walked around until Illuminations and enjoyed the show at a different spot then usual...around U.S. not to bad. We walked around a bit more since it was late night at Epcot...we did test track again and I shopped a bit.
Caught the bus back to POP and hit the bed.
day 2 next
