Part 2 is about Splash Mountain. I know the ride doesn't have bench seats and can accomodate 5 people. Would our daughter be able to double up and sit in front of us but in the same "seat/section"? I ask because she's used to this on our local amusement park's flume ride. If it helps, she's 5 years old, 45 inches and only 40 lbs.
Splash has 5 single seats and a 6th row that can accommodate 2 (with restrictions), so it's likely you can ride with DD5
Just to expand on this.
The logs are 6 "single" seats.
The back row is designed for one "larger guest," but CM's will allow a (thinner) parent and their (under 48") child to sit side-by-side in it at their discretion. Another option is the sixth row wraps around the 5th seat, it is possible for the person in the 6th row to sit and wrap their arms around the person in front of them.
