We're staying at Pop during free dining and are 90% sure we'll upgrade our quick service to regular, so I made the reservations in case. I see my card has been charged the full amount for Hoop De Do Review (which I knew would happen). If we don't decide to upgrade, we cancel, are refunded and it's no big deal. But if we do upgrade, will they be able to charge our dining plan credits and refund the credit card, or should that have all been in place before making the reservation. I just want to make sure we don't have to cancel the credit card res and make a new one under the dining plan and then end up with no availability. Make sense? Thanks!

When you pick up the Hoop De Doo tickets let the CM know you want to use dining plan credits and they will refund your card at that time. If you want the refund prior to your trip you can call the dining line and ask to have the method of payment modified. Some CMs will want to cancel the reservation because that's the easiest way to refund a card, but you do not want this to happen because in the brief time between cancelling and re-booking someone else could take the reservation and then you won't have a res. If the CM wants to cancel the res, ask for a supervisor or hang up and try again or wait until you pick up the tickets.

Kind of along the same lines, I will be making reservations for the HDDR for two families, one on the dining plan and one not. Would we have to pay on advance for everyone, then get a credit back for our family? Could I make the res for 10 people, then call and apply the dining plan to 5 ? Thanks for any help!!
