Surprise Swap Sign Ups are next Saturday!! I am excited, if anyone is not going to be around next Saturday just PM with how many groups you want to be in.
Also for the Hope Groups, Please only sign up for the number of groups you would normally because you still have to make items for the others in the group. Any additional exchanges Hope will take care of via PM's

I've never participated in one of your Surprise Swaps. How do they normally work?

Are there general groups in addition to the specific ones you listed below? Is this a Disney Surprise Swap and if so, do pieces in the specific groups need to be Disney-related?

There will be 6 swappers per group. The Surprise is you don't know what your getting I will list a selection of embellishments, just like any other swap. You just don't tell your theme or element. They have been just a general Disney theme so what you get will work everywhere. I am doing the general Disney as well as adding additional groups that will be specific to certain things such as the Paper Piecing group it will be all paper piecing we just wont know what we will be getting in return. You can make your pieces or buy Jolee packs etc. Or both. Typically the entire swap is Disney.

The swap has grown in size and popularity which is thrilling to me. Hope comes over and helps me swap it all out so that makes it nice and allows for any amount of groups.

I will actually post the sign ups Friday evening around 6:00p.m. (Arizona time) instead of Saturday morning. This way all you East coasters are not waiting for me, and I don't have to roll out of bed before the birds are awake.

Don't forget Kat, that some of the things hopemax is trading are "kits". We want to be sure that hopemax gets equal value in return. It'll be a hassel in beginning, making sure that all the kit people are in the same groups, but a whole lot easier while swapping them out.

I've completely lost strack of this thanks to being away but I love Disney surprise - I've got stuff stick in folders to use for my wedding and honeymoon albums (OK, it was 1990, but I'm a bit behind )

You can sign up for whatever groups you want to do, if you are asking hope for a page kit, then you will make her a page kit in return, then for the other people in th group you make whatever you want to. If you don't want to be in the swap then you can also PM her and work a trade on the side I will post the rules I did up last night.

HOPEMAX FANS UNITE!!! Now everyone please stay behind the velvet ropes! She will be arriving soon. I know many of you are excited to be received little “gems” from Hope through this swap. We do have a few little “guidelines”

---Please do not sign up for more groups than you normally would for this swap (I don’t want anyone overwhelmed and passing out on me) Hope will handle any non swap trades via PM
---If you have requested a specific Hope project please list it when you sign up so Hope can double check her list as well. If you are requesting a page kit, please make sure your items back to Hope are equal to what she is making for you.
---Granted you don’t have to make everyone in the group everything you make for Hope.
---If you are in her group and have a “special order” please MAKE sure YOUR package to Hope is CLEARLY marked!



This is what I've come up with so far. I will have plenty of groups and room for everyone, Hope fan groupies, as well as regular groups.

I'll explain how I think things are going to work, using happypooh as an example.

happypooh, Friday night decides, "I want to be in 3 groups." So just like every other swap, happypooh will make 6 identical items x 3 groups.

Then I come along, and make sure I know what happypooh wants. I have jotted down in my notes that happypooh expressed interest in the Tiki Room Kit, Disneyland Title & Journal boxes, Cuties stuff.

I will figure out how many elements that is using the standard element lists, so:

Title = 1 element
2 mats or frames = 1 element
2 Tags = 1 element
box + 2 squares = 1 element

etc

So for happy

Tiki Room = 3 elements (Title, Paper Piecing, Box&Tag)
Disneyland Sign = 2 elements (Title, 2Journal Boxes)
Mickey&Minnie Cutie = 1 element (Box&Tag)
mickey&Pluto Cutie = 1 element (2 Tags)

So that's a total of 7 elements. I am already getting 3 elements by being in the Surprise swap groups.

So that leaves 4 "extra" for happypooh to do for me. They can either be: turn your single element into a kit, make me something from a previous swap that I request, Cricut cuts, store bought items, Disney Dollars, airline tickets, LCD HDTV, Mini Cooper or downpayment for a house.

Makes sense?
