Premiere Passport Vouchers?

I've gotten the "it has to be a renewal" line from grasping-at-straws CMs. Not true. The only "rule" that seems to be true is that the Premiere Passports (be they active or vouchers) must be purchased in person at Guest Relations.

We purchased the Premiere vouchers twice last week, at two different Guest Relations windows. I do admit that even the managers were thrown for a loop with this one, but both finally figured out how to do it, and were quite cordial about it. Also be sure to link them to your MDE account; it's always good to have it stored there.

We were at DL on Sunday. We bought 3 Premier Passes and one voucher. Although we have had Premier Passes in the past, our expired over a year ago. So I doubt they were considering us as a renewal.
The voucher expires on 12/31/14.
We even paid for half of the cost with Disney Gift Cards we'd purchased from Target to get the extra 5% off.
The CM at the Group Sales window on the DL side knew exactly what they needed to do. The CM's on at Guest Services on DCA side had no idea. I don't even know if they understood 'DVC' as an abbreviation...I had to say it out 'Disney Vacation Club' and then they immediately said that I needed to call you Member Services. :confused3

So I am screwed then since we aren't going until Dec?

We have had annual passes before, but they have all expired. So this was not a renewal, but a new purchase.

May I ask a question - is this for new premier passes or are you "renewing" we were told by MS that first there were no vouchers (hmm) and then that if we did get one they would only active our current premier passes to their exp date which is this April - example when we go in Oct "if" we had a voucher we could use it but it would not have a one year from Oct date it would go back to one year from April - is this how it was explained to you? SO much confusion on these premier passes and its really not that hard to just make them match other AP options...its is just another AP. Thanks

Unfortunately, they don't make it easy. I'm sorry.

If anyone who has bought the Premier Voucher at WDW sees this tonight... I am going to try to buy one tomorrow (nothing like waiting until the last minute :) )

If you can post which Guest Services you used that might give me a good start :) I am willing to go to anyplace but the MK (and will go there if desperate, but.... it's my last choice!)

I bought two different ones at two different Guest Services locations: HS GS inside the park and AK GS inside the park. It probably doesn't matter where you go, but I'd go to one of the large ones, i.e., not International Gateway GS window, as there may not be a manager there who knows how to process this. Even the managers at the larger GS locations get stumped by this request, but rest assured, it can be done.

Thanks. I may try Epcot tonight (inside the park) and then go to plan b. :)

On the plane now

Well I may have spoken too soon. MCO just closed. We are circling off to the East, but if it doesn't open soon we get to divert. If that happens I won't make a park tonight :)

Thanks. I had some challanges... Guest Services inside Epcot could see it but said they didn't have the right "stock" to sell it to me The first guy at the Guest Services at the front entrance said "no it can't be done" and I just smiled and took back my stuff. Right at that moment the girl next to him said "I just did it, wait until I finish with this guest" And a few minutes later she did it.

YEAH. Thanks I would have given up without your success stories!

Excellent! Now that you bring it up, I heard the "wrong stock" story too. Truth is, one of our vouchers is printed on voucher stock and the other on an actual AP. Seems that regardless of what's printed on the front, it's what's on the magnetic strip that counts.

Make sure you link it to your MDE account. The easier way is to scan it using your smartphone app.

Enjoy!
