Going to the parks pregnant was sure an experience!
I had MANY people ask me:
"WHAT POSESSED you to come to WDW with an INFANT AND PREGNANT?!"
It really just made me laugh, but after about the 5th time i just said
We wanted to come and we vacation here every year why should this be
any different?!? i was starting to get edgy!
so beware of comments made by many people!!
About 6 people asked me if i was having TRIPLETS>!>! they told me
i was HUUUUGE!! I must have cried about each time! My DH got so mad
at the last person and just told her to mind her own business! So i
apologize if that was you out there, but he was just upset at how hurt
i was getting. I am only having one baby, but i know i am a bit bigger
than normal. But also it looks like i am huge cause i am only 4ft 10!!
Other than that i must repeat what i am sure every OB has told every
prenant woman that goes to WDW:
NAP OFTEN! SIT OFTEN! and DRINK LOTS OF WATER!! OH and definately
have a map of just WHERE the BATHROOMS are! haha i must have gone
every 10 minutes! i could write a review on the bathrooms alone!!
We wouldn't have made it in that heat without all the water and
BATHROOM BREAKS!! and plenty of naps!! We also tended to sleep in
in the mornings and then head out late. WE took advantage of the
evening EMHs just so we could hit the park about noon and have lunch
and then do a couple shows or rides and then head back to the resort
until it cooled off for the evening and we stayed until closing! It
sooo much easier not to get moody when the temp was cool and the baby
was comfortable (both the one in the stroller and the one in the belly
haha)!!
I found Epcot to be the most miserable even though it's my fave park
and we went there like 3 times!! haha! There just was not a lot of
covered space with AC to hide out in that wasn't a teeny shop or
innoventions and i must have spent a BUNCLE while hanging out at
Mouse GEars!! So in case you didn't know the shops are NOT the place
to get air! haha...
Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes, i wore gym shoes every
day though they were SOOOO unfashionable with all my outfits and they
helped a ton with my swelling!
The best park for being pregnant was believe it or not: Animal Kingdom
I found there to be a lot of shows to sit in, but mainly there was
a large air conditioned Baby Care Center in which i relaxed in for
quite a bit.
I would also like to let you know that every single first aid center
is air conditioned and allowed me and dh and dd to sit and relax if
i got too overheated! They even got me ice water and ice packs for
a rash i developed while in FL!! it was fantastic!
***The rides i rode are up ahead next!***
